This 2003 Mitsubishi Fuso off grid cruiser is a guest post by Paul Jensen

I just finished the renovation of a 2003 Mitsubishi Fuso off grid cruiser. The vehicle has been around the world more than once and the country count is in the forties.

From Antarctica to the Arctic and around Australia this off grid cruiser has been lived in full time for a couple years. Heavily used, is an understatement. When I got it it was cramped and outdated. I stripped it down and made it into a refreshing, fully self contained, off grid cruiser.

After 25-year old Mike Hudson quit his job he spent the next 5 months building his new home. An old cargo van that he would live off grid in and travel around Europe with.

Leaving from England heading throughout Europe visiting music festivals and camping everywhere in between he has everything he needs inside his van. There is a kitchen with space to cook, a mini refrigerator, solar panels for power, shower, toilet, work desk area and even a hammock.

When 21-year-old Daniel Norris got a $2 million signing bonus to pitch for the Toronto Blue Jays one of the first things he decided to do was buy his dream car… Which just happens to be a 1978 Volkswagen Westfalia bus where he lives simply from. Yes. This is also his home.

The young man is from Johnson City, Tennessee and the people who know him definitely think he’s a little weird for his lifestyle choices. But at the same time, they find him interesting. According to GrindTV, Norris says, “I knew after I signed that I was going to get a Volkswagen van. It was my dream car.”

Now the van is set up with solar panels and all. And Daniel uses it to travel to practice training, to adventure, to surf, to go hiking, and more. Doesn’t this story inspire you to consider a similar or just simpler lifestyle? I encourage you to enjoy the rest of this story below and re-share it if you want to. Thanks.

With an asking price of only $2,000 this 1994 Chevy Gladiator G20 van for sale seems like a great deal to get started on your own DIY van camper.

Plus the listing says it only has 44,000 original miles on it. The back seats are already missing so if you’re wanting to use it to turn into a van dwelling camper this could be a great find especially if you’re near Phoenix.

The listing also says it runs perfectly and is in very good condition. Could you imagine turning it into your own tiny camper van for a road trip or for cheap RV living? Please enjoy and re-share below. Thank you.

Bill and Becky Goddard run Rustic Campers, a business dedicated to turning your camper, van and/or motorhome into the home sweet tiny home of your dreams. The couple has even turned a box truck into their own tiny home on wheels.

While many may think it impossible to live exclusively in a small motor home, Bill and Becky make the impossible very possible with their beautiful transformations. Take their converted Box Truck Camper, for example. Using locally sourced wood for most of the accents of their tiny dwelling, Bill and Becky created a practical living space complete with a fully functional kitchen, sitting area with breakfast nook, and bunk beds for a comfortable nights sleep. Becky, also the cofounder of the recycling textile business ‘Pretty Rubbish’ tries to only use natural fabrics such as cotton, wool and other recycled fabrics when picking out the upholstery for each of the custom camper vans.

Bill and Becky take pride in their creations and love to work closely with each of their clients to make sure that they leave as happy campers. Each project they work on is unique in it’s own way and customized to the customers liking and preferences. The Goddard’s are based in Welsh, border town of Presteigne.

It’s a 1973 Dodge Sportsman Van that was being used as a circus van for 30 years.

Right now it’s for sale on Craigslist with an asking price of only $1800. The listing says,

This is a 30 year old classic Mercedes Van now happily serving as the Surf Bus.

Since it’s a big van, it would make for an absolutely awesome little home on wheels for van dwelling and adventuring.

If traveling is something that’s on your agenda, maybe you can consider a similar set up?

In this case, the bus stays put in the countryside of De Woude, North Holland, Netherlands.

Here you’re near Amsterdam and the North Sea Beach. Have a look below, learn more, consider staying (if you want), and enjoy!
