This is an Off-Grid THOW with a Tesla Wall Battery!

It’s called THIMBY and you can learn more about it right here.

We are Tiny House in My Backyard (THIMBY), an interdisciplinary team of UC Berkeley graduate and undergraduate students that worked together to design and build an affordable, off-grid, 100% solar-powered “tiny” house.1

This is the Mansion Jr. by Uncharted Tiny Homes.

The beautiful THOW has the kitchen and bath on either end of the house, an office space and even a very comfortable looking couch! There are two loft bedrooms, one for a queen and one for a twin (or storage).

This is Trinity, a tiny house by Alabama Tiny Homes.

She is 28 feet long, 13’4′ tall and 8’5″ wide and features the very popular white-on-dark wood color scheme we keep seeing more of (and keep loving!). But the best and most unique feature of this home is that the staircase is along the back wall of the house. How have we not seen this before? Great idea.

The interior of this stunning 360 sq. ft. tiny house was built using reclaimed wood from a home that was torn down nearby.  It has a vaulted ceiling, retractable staircase, full-sized bathroom, and a loft bedroom with Japanese-inspired in-floor storage. The exterior has beautiful hemlock siding and bright red accents on the roof and around the windows.

The owner, Pierre, says he bought the tiny house because he didn’t have the means to purchase a conventional house and was happy to have found a place where tiny houses are legal so that he could live in a community and not be alone in the country.  His home is located at the “Les Hameaux de la Source” tiny house community in Lantier, Quebec, Canada.
