Ariel has been living off-grid in her 170-sq.-ft. tiny house for over six years. She grows and preserves much of her own food right on the land, which is over 6000 feet above sea level.
She generates her own solar power, carries her own water, cuts her own firewood, observes wildlife, and works part-time on the ranch in exchange for her tiny house parking spot on the land.
Ever wonder what it would be like living tiny and off-the-grid? Take a dive into her life below to learn more thanks to Ariel (Fy Nyth) and Mat & Danielle of Exploring Alternatives. Would you ever consider building a lifestyle like this? Why or why not?
Ever wondered what life in a tiny house is like on cleaning day?
Well, luckily for us, Ariel on Fy Nyth via YouTube, who’s been living in her tiny house for 6+ years, shows us exactly what it’s like on cleaning day! Enjoy.
Outside, you’ll notice an all-weather house, encapsulated in horizontal grey siding with black trimmed windows. The house is entirely off-the-grid and features solar panels for power. It’s nestled among the trees in Wyoming where Ariel lives.
When you go inside, you’ll find the entire inside of the house lined with gorgeous pine. Ariel has an L-shaped couch in one corner that can double as a guest bed, as well as stairs that double as storage – there’s a drawer in ever step! Because she loves to cook, there’s a full stove and open shelf to store every pot and pan you can imagine. The bathroom includes a shower that Ariel uses as a closet because she prefers to shower at the gym, as well as a composting toilet. Just climb up the stairs and find a full bed tucked behind walls, as well as her house plants and a chest for more storage. Check out her video below for a full tour!
