This is the story of Sarah’s tiny tree house cabin that she built for less than $2,000 in materials. At a first glance, you may not be able to tell very easily, but it truly is a treehouse! There are 7 living trees in and around this little cabin.

Meet Sarah McClellan (daughter of Cob/Earth/Mud builder “Uncle Mud“) as she takes us through her self-built funky, unconventional, fun, and ultra-affordable home- one built IN and around seven trees.1

If you absolutely love tiny houses, tree houses, cabins, forts, and skateboarding or BMX’ing then you’re in for a real treat right now because here are a couple of tiny houses up in the tree tops with a personal skatepark right on the property. This place is called The Cinder Cone.

It consists of two main treehouse cabins which connect to each other with a bridge. Everything is custom designed and built for the property. Below, and directly in view from the treetop cabins, is where the private skatepark is located. This is definitely the dream life for any pro skateboarder or BMX person.

And did I mention the treetop deck with the hot tub? Yeah! And the views are stunning too. This is a really amazing property and I want to thank one of our amazing readers, Nick Smith, for sharing. To me this property in inspiring. What does your dream tiny house, cabin, and ‘estate’ look like? If you’d like to please share in the comments. Either way, please enjoy and re-share below. Thank you.

Join Derek “DEEK” Diedricksen of Relaxshacks.com on a video tour of 7 different treehouses.

Actually, they’re more of a variety of backyard sheds, forts, cabins and treehouses.

On his way back from installing a house he had built and designed, Deek made a stop at the Berkshire Botanical Gardens to shoot this video for us.

Seven Different Backyard Structures Designed from Local Architects

The park has seven structures which are all designed and built by architects in the local area.

It’s a place where you can have a picnic by the garden and enjoy architecture. The gardens are open from May through the middle of October.

3,000 Species of PlantsTreehouses

There are more than 3,000 species of plants in the park where they offer…

  • workshops
  • lectures
  • and special events

…all year-round to help educate people on preserving nature and gardening.

In addition, they run educational programs for school children.
