Nicole and her family lost their 2,000 sq. ft. home in California in a fire. When they found out they were $500K underinsured, they decided to pivot and purchase three tiny homes instead of rebuilding. They get to stay on their land and have adjusted well to tiny living.

Her two older sons use the 250 sq. ft. homes when they are around, and otherwise, the homes are used as a big living room and an office. Enjoy the photo tour and make sure to read our Q&A with Nicole!

Here’s one of the original ESCAPE tiny house layouts — the Vista — on a scenic 30 acres of land in New York. It’s set up as an Airbnb and has everything you could want for a weekend stay.

YouTuber Cash Jordan recently stayed in the tiny house and shared a video review of the spot. It’s fun to see someone unfamiliar with tiny living try it out for a night. What do you think of the Vista?

I always enjoy getting to see a tiny house model that’s lived-in! We show off a lot of gorgeous, hot-off-the-press Escape models, but this one is extra special because Tyler has made it hers with artwork, plants, and mementos. She was trying to buy a home and put in multiple offers, but it all fell through.

That’s when she found this Escape Boho model that another family was selling after using it as an Airbnb. She found her awesome wooded spot at Cranmore Meadows in North Carolina, and she is building a life for herself and her cat. At first, she felt like it was selfish to go tiny, but now she is finding she has more time to give than when she worked her traditional job. What do you think of her home sweet home?

You might remember ESCAPE’s one-off “N1” model that garnered tons of interest from the tiny house community. Well they’ve created the “N2” which is a limited edition mid-century modern tiny home (~40×10) with no lofts and a huge wall of highly efficient windows.

They only produce these a few times per year and they’re not available for preorder like their other models, so if you want one you can grab one today for $143K. These are all-electric models, which is pretty cool! What do you think?

We see plenty of comments from people new to the tiny house movement, who wonder what’s so different about living in a tiny house instead of the tiny apartments they’re accustomed to. This article by Monica Humphries explains it so well! While small spaces have always been around, they aren’t all designed well to maximize space and efficiency.

A well-designed tiny house, like the BOHO model by ESCAPE that Monica stayed in at Think Big! Tiny House Resort in South Cairo, New York, doesn’t leave any space underutilized, and that makes all the difference! Monica also mentioned that the large windows and nature views added to the peace and comfort of the tiny house.

Even though her NYC apartment is about 500 square feet (shared with a roommate), in the end Monica said she could see herself living in just 110 square feet by herself quite easily. Read the full story at Insider.
