This is Chelle’s school bus conversion!

From the outside this looks like a standard yellow school bus you once spent hours on in elementary school, but take a step inside and you’ll forget all about the back-of-the-bus bullies!

Chelle described herself as a 55-year-old homemaker who was searching for a way to build an off-grid tiny house when this bus fell in her lap. She transformed it into a home with dark wood floors, fun dressers, a mini fridge, toaster oven, coffee maker, and an electric wood burning stove. Her bed sits in the back and she has curtains to section off her living areas and cover the bus’s many windows. It’s actually illegal to have a yellow bus in some states, so Chelle said she will repaint it soon so she can continue traveling!

Please enjoy, learn more, and re-share below. Thank you!

This is the story of how Alyce, Paul and their dog Banjo bought an old bus and converted into an awesome DIY motorhome to live simply and adventurously.

Paul and Alyce began tearing everything out of the bus to give it back life, light, character, and more storage!

Once they ripped everything out they discovered it had lots of rust. So they simply cut out the rusty metal and began to re-weld new steel to the frame. Fortunately, they have a great friend named Luke who is a welder that taught them how to do this. In one of the before and after photos below you’ll see the difference this made. Then it was time to re-panel the bus to complete the job of making it road worthy again.

Soon it was time to work on the inside. They went with a kitchen from IKEA because it was affordable, new, and easy to build. According to their original article, they triple enforced everything so it wouldn’t break or get damaged. And so far, so good! Please enjoy, learn more, and re-share below. Thank you!

This 1980 Bristol Double Decker Bus For Sale is a guest post by Ron Collins

My home is in Florida where I winter at, and I live in the Netherlands in summer….

In my travels I have purchased a 1980 Bristol – VR Double Decker Bus. Model ECW 24 34 6 Series 2 ENGINE: Gardner 6LXB CONFIGURATION: H43/31F.

The #007 Double Decker Bus is located in the Netherlands and can be “driven to Belgium or Amsterdam” depending on what transport ships are available to ship to certain ports in the USA.

* I have one quote to ship from Netherlands to USA Jacksonville, Florida (Jax Port) at $7,500.00. There are other considerations such as tax etc through customs, that the Buyer is responsible for.

I had great hopes to changing it into a lounge, or “summer home” here….but unfortunately my health causes me to sell this Collectable – Rare London-built bus.

Right now I’m showing you how this man, Dipa Vasudeva Das, turned a high-top cargo van into a beautiful tiny cabin on wheels. He calls it his EarthShip.

It’s a DIY motorhome project that in my opinion has an Asian and Yogic style to it. I think it’s very well done so I wanted to share it with you for inspiration.

I was also able to get in touch with Dipa and pretty soon he’ll be putting together a website about his DIY camper projects. Yes, he’s converted more than one. Please enjoy and re-share below.

He turned this ordinary work van into an incredible zen motorhome that’s completely custom…
