You don’t have to love Zyl Vardos’ newest build, the Fuchsia, but it’s pretty hard not to.
Never one to commit to the ordinary, Abel Zyl’s freshest design embodies springtime with it’s sunny green and burnt orange trim, and absolutely spectacular roof life. Walk inside the dutch door and you’ll find a spacious interior with a loft bedroom accessible by funky handcrafted steps, a bathroom and kitchen to meet your needs, and a large living area for relaxing and entertaining.
It’s already gone home to its new owners in California, who I’m sure love their house even more than I love looking at it! Get Zyl’s contact information below.
Abel Zimmerman created this gem from recycled and repurposed materials some eight years ago, and it’s one cozy build. Be sure to watch the video below to hear the story behind it.
It’s true! If you’ve seen his homes, you’ll know Zyl is a master craftsman, so getting to pick his brain every week is a real treat. Last week he spent an hour answering questions like how to make your exterior siding last and how many tiny homes he’s built. He also discussed how to seal the bottom of your tiny house, why nails can be better than screws, and why he doesn’t use much steel in his builds. Bonus: See his farm! You get all that (and way more!) for completely free.
If you have a question for him for next week, head over here to post your questions in the comments. Be sure to subscribe to his channel so you don’t miss anything.
As with all Abel Zimmerman’s work, it’s beautifully handcrafted. This particular vardo has an amazing couch that pulls out into a full-sized bed, a fully functional kitchen, and a spacious bathroom.
This is the 18′ version of the Dewdrop Tiny House by Zyl Vardos which offers about 144 sq. ft. of space inside. It’s another incredible design/build by the amazing carpenter/artist and founder of Zyl Vardos, Abel Zimmerman Zyl.
Zyl specializes in artistically designed and built tiny homes with handmade windows, doors, and curved rooflines. And with the Dewdrop, it’s no different. So I’m pleased, honored, and excited to show it to you here. Please enjoy, learn more, and re-share below. Thank you!
