Video Tour of The Mouse House Van Conversion
Woman sells her house, pays off her mortgage and has enough left over to have a fantastic van built for her by Roamingwildcampers.com so that she can become a full time/go anywhere photographic artist.
It was made with great products, state of the art solar, Maxxair, thermostatically controlled fan vent with rain sensor, a large wide opening skylight for moon gazing, and many other well-researched items.
There are some re-purposed things like the sink which was her preserving pan and some timbers for the cab and front door which came from the Dorrigo Men’s Shed.
Michael Ferris from Roamingwildcampers.com supplied some of the photographs especially the one with the solar panels.
Clare designed this van based on permaculture principles of every thing having more than one use. There is a mini orb lined bathroom with shower and AirHead composting toilet, there is storage for a folding bike, outdoor furniture and another solar panel to add to the Lithium based system.

Did I miss if there’s a bathroom?
@Marcy: Go watch some of Bob Wells videos on the CheapRVLiving YouTube channel. Lot’s of creative ideas for cleaning and relieving yourself without having to have a bathroom.
Nope… But that’s not unusual for van conversions… Might have an emergency solution stored away but typically van dwellers use public restrooms, keep 24/7 gym memberships, take advantage of nature, etc.
I know it is not common to use limited space in a van for that. My 1973 Chevy has a small bathroom in the corner with an old style RV commode and given how much like a house this is, I thought there might be one. When I lived in my van, I had a membership to the local rec. center and first thing in the morning it was a stop at McD for coffee and . . .
Wow! All that in that van?! As Luis on the Rolling Earthship YouTube channel would say, “That’s ginormous!”

You guys need to stop that pop up coming up the does every time somebody comes to look at your site asking you to sign up for emails. I already get emails from you. It is the most distracting pop up and you can’t stop it
Come on people if you decide to live out of a van; I think it is expected you will not have all the creature comforts of a regular camper or RV trailer. There are many options for a portable toilet and based on what I’ve seen it really depends on how you want it designed. I’m getting negative vibes from some of you here. Maybe some of you need to re-assess your opinions. Or better yet get a really large VAN so you can have a toilet. Personally I like this concept. The larger the Van is the more in gas it will cost to get around. And how much gas you need depends on how heavy a load you carry. The bigger the Van the more you put in it the heavier the weight.
