Roaming Wilsons Give Up 40-Hour Workweeks for Skoolie Life

Kelly and Thomas met in college, got married a few years later, went on to get Master’s degrees, and then started the 40-hour-workweek grind. They found themselves wondering how they were supposed to do this for the next 40+ years and were looking for an alternative. That’s when they stumbled on the skoolie community.

While they originally thought their bus life adventure would only last a year, they’ve already been on the road for 7 months and don’t have any intentions of hanging up their keys anytime soon.

Tiny Home Tours did a great interview and tour with the Wilsons and you’ll want to check it out below!

Really nice! Beautiful ceiling, wonderful pullout storage, and lovely bedroom. I love the kitchen. So we’ll organized. I can see this as a forever home.

Interesting posting. One thing I would like to see….. when someone takes up an out of the ordinary life style I would be interested in knowing what they do for a living and how they finance the life style. Writers? Won the lottery? Became campground hosts? Teach kayaking classes? Potters? Painters?

I try to get that information when I can because I’m also interested. It sounds like they’re still doing their jobs remotely — she’s a social worker and he does OT. But maybe they just saved up?
