Very nicely done. But is there any closets?

It appears that in pics #9, 10, 11 and 12 I think I see closets.

For someone with coin to spare this does look like a winner. Very well thought out. As a native Floridian, I can really appreciate the high windows to let the heat out.

I love it but I would want stairs for my dog. How much is it?

Gorgeous! The ladder is so tackle though…

excellent. Kitchen at one end and bath at the other. all the space in-between is “flex” space, for the owners to use as they see fit.

First class all the way! Put me a Murphy bed downstairs, and I could live in that very happily! The kitchen is fabulous! The bathroom is gorgeous! Maybe next year we’ll talk. What does it take to pull that trailer? I’d love to see more info about the requirements for pulling the THOWs.

Your tiny home is amazing, just love the woodwork throughout your home. Your kitchen looks like it belongs in a larger home. Love your cabinets in the natural wood! The tile backsplash is really nice! Your bathroom is nicely done up. Great idea to have the kitchen and the bathroom at opposite ends of the house. You have lots of room in the middle of your place. Enjoy your home & thanks for inviting us in!! Carol???

Quality of many kinds. Yes, RV’s are built cheaply and for low weight. I was thinking of getting one but decided to get a tiny for much better quality materials. Great, lots of windows. Exterior is great wood, better than painted. I would love to see more of these homes built with environmentally responsible materials. Laminate is “quick and durable” but not great for the earth which we all should make the first priority. namaste’, rachel

Basically, I really like the design, although I’d prefer stairs over the ladder–maybe put the stairs on the other side and tuck the closets, etc. underneath?

Also I wonder a bit about the layout of the kitchen–the stove and sink are rather close together, not to mention the proximity of the refrigerator and cooktop. I’d probably want to slide the sink, and the window over it, to the right just a bit.

Otherwise, great design. I like the decently-sized refrigerator and the w/d in the bath.

Most kitchens in THOWs are tight. I do think the 5 or 6 burner stove is a bit much for a THOW which is a personal opinion. Otherwise….beautiful.

I agree…first class….love the bath and the kitchen….especially the full sized frig. I wouldn’t need that much loft as I would only use it for storage.

I love the cabinets – the style and color! The bathroom barn door style door is great. The window placements will add so much light.

I admire the simple lines: it’s the shape of a brick, except the smooth unbroken roof slopes to shed rain and snow. This is a versatile and livable design. Thank you.

Just curious, why “Whiskey Jack?” I am a whiskey fan, especially that of Jack Daniels, and although I think this home is very cool, I don’t see the reason for the name???

    • October 14, 2016, 11:31 am

Hi Brian. Thanks for the comment! It’s called the Whiskey Jack after a bird found here on Vancouver Island (and many other places as well) – the common name is the grey jay. The colours inside reminded us of the plumage on the whiskey jacks, and we like naming our feature models after birds found in the area.

Excellent video. Clear and short, show the project without fillers or distractions. Thank you.

Exterior lines gentled by humble woods. Thumbs up.

We like the practicality of the kitchen outside the traffic pattern on an end-wall. This example is almost there, although we prefer open space each side of the cook and sink areas to set pans and the drain-rack.

Does a Tiny Living Space need massive appliances? Garsh, sometimes a magic wand would be nice… full-size to use, shrink for storage.

[Note to angels: Magic wand. Add to wish-list.]

Love the kitchen and bathroom. Where did you get the cabinets?

I like this – I love the cook top and tile used in the kitchen — I would have U’d that kitchen around though so as to have more counter space — c00king/baking is my thing. The larger refrigerator is a definite plus. A very good use of the space. I would like to see larger lofts so one could more easily put some storage dressers, shelves or something. But love the look inside and out. I also like the way you put the washer/dryer under the bathroom counter, so many put it in the kitchen. I am not fond of the above the counter sinks, but it does give some needed extra storage area. I also like the use of barn doors. A great share, thanks.
