Visiting the Escape Tiny House Community near Tampa, Florida (VIDEO)

This is a video of my visit to the Escape Tiny House Community near Tampa, Florida in a place called Thonotosassa, Florida. It’s a short distance to Tampa and easily accessible from highway I-75. I was able to explore the property and tour most of the tiny homes for you.

There are ten lots built-out with brand-new tiny houses from Escape on each. There’s also a community center, and one of my favorite parts, one of the lots is offered with a little Thoreau-like micro cabin built from Escape. It’s one of their Escape Space Classic units. See it all below and let me know what you think in the comments!

I did a video on the little Thoreau-like tiny house if you’d like to watch that.

There are a total of ten tiny houses on the property, plus a few other structures.

Like the community center, which consists of two Escape Space units.

Some of the tiny houses even have solar panels installed on them!

This is a Model ONE XL.

This is a Vista XL Wide, one of my favorites.

Two Model ONE XL tiny houses.

The homes are nicely spaced out.

This is a Traveler XL Tiny House.

I can’t think of a better way to do THs as a business than taking one of the 1,000s of Florida Mobile home ragged out parks and doing this with them and renting out.
And other than their new tall line with useless loft beds, Escape has about the best THs.
I’d build a RE microgrid to power them for more income.

It was definitely a smart business move.

Great business idea, but – as many others – it lacks shaded and dry outdoor spaces as covered car ports especially in FL.

Thank you so much for this video. It’s really incredible. I’ve watched every video I can find of the ONE XL and the footage you took makes me want one more so. I am even more impressed than I already was. Thanks again!

For the Thoreau unit, this is no indoor bathroom?
    Accommodation outside?

It’s an accessory unit, serves as extra space for uses like office space, guest bed, etc. You’d use the facilities of the, larger, main home unit that it comes with…
