Virginia’s Solo Van Life Retirement

Who said van-life was only for youngsters? Virginia (@veevanvoom on Instagram) is an incredible woman from Canada who was inspired by tiny house television shows to retire early in her own van conversion. That’s right, van life retirement!

She worked for 38 years as a massage therapist and with the help of some friends and experts built out her very own custom van home. Virginia even carved out some space in her little van for her massage table! She already traveled through her home country of Canada and is currently traveling through the states, building community and exploring beautiful places as she goes. Thanks Tiny Home Tours/YouTube for the great video tour you can watch below!

Virginia got this gorgeous copper sink from Portugal. She brought it home as her carry-on.

She incorporated copper details in other places around her home to tie it all in.

Love the ceiling? Virginia said it was tough to paint, but well worth the effort!

This “wooden quilt” detailing on the back doors is absolutely stunning.

Some beautiful artwork (which folds down into a table) made for Virginia by a friend, and her pantry.

So well thought out! Love the kitchen drawers that can be used from the outside and inside! Would love to have this van myself! You go girl!

The indoor-outdoor kitchen drawers are brilliant. Also love the slide-away dining table, and the drop down table outside. And the slide-away refrigerator. Great idea to have the four-camera security; it would give peace of mind. (I’m assuming she uses bathroom facilities where she parks, but does she have a toilet for the middle of the night?). Well done!

She didn’t mention a toilet for middle-of-the-night but I know I would need one, haha!
