I love this one. I think it’s my favorite so far.

For me it would be fit without loft. I would only add some awning to get shade.
However, price tag is out of my reach and a modified 40′ shipping container is for sure more affordable.
Shipping container conversions aren’t always more affordable… Especially, if you want them to look like this home when done.
You’d also need more than one container to get the equivalent amount of space and depending on how they are attached it may not be as easily transportable…
But you can just as easily just build a more basic THOW, or just scale it a bit smaller as 384 Sq Ft is on the big side for a Tiny House, for a much lower cost version.
Considering price includes the appliances, advance features like the slide outs, everything custom, etc. it’s actually not a bad price. There are builders who would charge nearly double to offer the same, but there’s a lot that can be cut out to get the price a lot lower and still have a very nice home.
Features like the slide outs can cost over $2,400 per linear foot for something like a 12′ wide by 30″ deep slide out and with multiple slide outs that can add up.
You can add slide outs to a container but it’s not as easy and would generally cost more because of the extra work involved. But using say a 10′ container to add a bump out for the same effect would be a lot cheaper but you then couldn’t easily move the container anymore.
So there’s lots of variables to the pricing and what trade offs they will entail but as long as you’re okay with the trade offs then a lot can be cut from the costs…
I wonder how much this weighs? It is nice but I don’t know how easily transportable it is.
At 40 feet long it just wouldn’t be allowed on NZ roads. At. All.
Only trucks (Big Rigs) are allowed to carry larger, up to 65 feet, but we are talking humongous monsters that would chew through 2 gallons of diesel every 5 minutes. At least. Which would do nothing positive to your bank balance if moved more than once a year.
So many unusual features. I especially like the bathroom vanity and the table that fits under the counter! The slide out living room makes such a wonderful difference in the feeling of spaciousness.
