This is a tiny house with history! Built sometime in the 1920s or 30s, this caravan/vardo has been in Doug’s family for generations. It’s very simple with a green canvas exterior, wooden frame, and old iron trailer, and in the right hands, it could be brought back to its former glory.
Doug is looking for someone who appreciates the history to purchase it, as illness keeps him from being able to care for it. It sure looks like an awesome piece of the past!

Family owned Bowtop. Was used up until the 1970’s being lived in by members of the English Travellers of Texas. Repairs have been done over the years and boards replaced. It was made during the 1920-30’s during the depression from what ever they could find my grandma said It even used parts off an old 1800’s Vardo that had been falling apart. The great depression and dust bowl caused the Travellers to become more unsettled and they went back on the road. These are extremely rare and hard to come by.
This has had my family members living in it and I would like to find a person who understands what this is and how important it is to our culture. An injury prevents me from caring for it.

Way cool! This really looks good and low cost to restore it.
And as a horse drawn wagon even id it isn’t, legal most everywhere.
What would be cool is an Allen Bradley 2wheel tractor made EV to pull it.
Pretty cool. . .is that the wagon tongue laying next to it on the grass? Can a wagon be pulled legally with a single neck tongue if you stay on state roads and not highways? It’s really precious and a little piece of American history. It could be made into a pretty cozy, lovely home.
I think it would b nice for him to donate it to some museum
No I didn’t like that one at all for me but it’s ok for a child’s play house. Like a little girls or boys club with their friends.
I do not like small houses like this one. Like I stated from the beginning of my ever looking at one of these homes.
I need a lot of space for me and my wheelchair and walker so that lets me know that’s not a home for me.
