It’s an open concept V House that they designed and built for a client who gave them the freedom of deciding on most of the interior design work. The house includes custom cabinets, beautiful custom lighting, lots of storage, additional flip down counter space in the kitchen, a relatively large refrigerator, ample closet space, and more. It’s really, really cool!

It would help me to know on the different tiny houses what size truck I would need to pull it
If its one of the tiny 8 to ten foot ones, you could use a small truck like a toyota Tacoma, nissan xterra. If it is 16 feet or less, you could get away with a sturdy truck – like a tundra, sierra 1500, or F150, maybe a honda ridgeline. If its up past 20′, you better have a F250 or 2500 class truck. If its the longer 30′ type you’ll definitely want a F350/3500 one tone class truck. If its a monster 40 footer, don’t even THINK about towing it with less than a one ton class (F350/3500) dually configuration. Carefully.
I speak with 3 years of towing 10K+ RVs with F250/F350 trucks.
There are so many cool house designs we see on this blog, and I’m a fan of the mostly-single-level ones… but this one… from a presentation, an architectural space planning, dimensions and worksmanship angle is horrifying. First he babbles on for a ludicrous amount of time – he’s lucky if anybody gets past that. The moment he closes the door I say WAIT – did that BRAND NEW DOOR ON A BRAND NEW HOUSE just catch on the frame and have to be pulled closed? Then the table is too close to the wall for a chair behind it. The legs of both tables don’t slip easily into their sockets. The lamp has to be moved manually to lower the bed. The foot for the murphy bed has an extra slat for no good reason. The murphy bed has no spring or safety on it so that if that gate latch gets triggered, somebody could be injured. The hood looks like a bit of a fire hazard. The refrigerator is wonky sized for the space and is an odd position almost getting hit by the queen bed when extended. The drawers under the queen bed are oddly proportioned and it isn’t clear if they can be accessed when the bed is extended. The slide out closet is strangely awkward to reach with atrocious fit and finish. The paint looks like primer or whitewash. The exposed vent pipe in the bathroom looks like a poor planning excuse. Somebody get this perfectly nice guy and builder an architect/designer before he repeats this too many more times.

Always enjoy what this builder comes up with – there are a few that I follow and he is one of them. This TH does seem more spacious – do like the overall layout (one level and steps to bath), the windows/light, storage, great bathroom, and the multi-use furniture – and even an area for food prep and a coat closet! I feel very well thought out, a place for everything and more. Could definitely see myself living in this wonderful TH!
