I have loved vardo’s forever. This particular build utilizes a combination of some of the features in common from the six basic vardo styles: (1) Burton wagon, (2) Brush wagon, (3) the Reading wagon, (4) Ledge wagon, (5) Bow Top, (6) Open lot wagon,to complete its Romany look.
This build is a combination of features from a Showman (Burton) with a “mollycroft” or skylight top or aka “clerestory” in architecture placed on top of a Gypsy quarter-barrel roof, a “Brush” wagon front door orientation (that you enter from the back and not over the tongue,) and (traditional) painted turnings or “scrolls” painted in the traditional colors of red, cream and green decorating the outside walls together make for a modern interpretation of the Gypsy living wagon known as a vardo.
I hope we will get to see this wagon again when the interior has been finished out. If you are interested in vardos and wish to see more, you can go here for some wonderful pictures:

The parts I was asking about are not listed on the craigslist site. It does say it is 8’x16′, but those are rough figures and from interior wall to wall it may be as much as half a foot less. I was wanting to check that and if any way to put a black water tank in it without ripping up half of the floor. Otherwise have to be sometype of composter or nearby access. The flat part on top, where the small windows are, might be able to support something but need know size for both anything going up to roof on interior and possible additional exterior use. Thanks
How wide is the flat space on top? No access to tanks after floor put in (I think about repairs a bit)? No black water tank? Currently how much does it weigh? Interior width and length? Thanks, Penny

Yeah, I was looking at that, and all I could say was “Wow”! That’s exactly what I need and want for a project I have in mind, and I don’t even have that much cash! Ah well, I learned a lot from looking at it, and I’ll be thinking of how _I_ could best utilize that configuration 🙂 I truly hope that whoever gets it turns it into something wonderful, and shares the pictures here with us 🙂 SSSOOOOO much potential, and SOOO much of the annoying stuff done, if in fact it’s done properly, or reasonably closely…
