Two Years in Their Cozy Bus Conversion with a Wood Stove

This post contains affiliate links.

Nick and Katie didn’t start their bus conversion planning on living in it full-time, but once they got into creating a home out of their 1995 GMC 3500HD Vandura, they couldn’t go back to their old life.

Two years and nine National Parks later, they have no plans of leaving their nomadic life anytime soon. The interior of the bus (@RobinTheBus) was built with their loves in mind, with space for cooking, baking, entertaining and even a sewing machine!

They can climb on the rooftop to hang out, and they stay warm with their mini wood stove. A motorcycle they attached to a back deck allows them to make quick runs to the store without driving their whole home with them. Enjoy the video from Tiny Home Tours below!

Meet Robin the Bus!

This tiny wood stove heats the home up quickly.

They chose to have a pull-out bed so they could entertain.

Katie sewed all the pillows and couch cushions.

May I ask what brand of wood stove that is? I am looking for a little one for a small home with limited space. I agree with the idea of sleeping in something other than a converted dinette. You did a nice job on the conversion. Glad you are enjoying your bus.

It’s a Cubic Mini Stove, Canadian company and one of the more affordable brands. Two models, the Cub and the little larger Grizzly, can heat 200 and 400 Sq Ft respectively…

I love buses!! Yours is soooo nice! It has everything you need and beauty, too. I really like the idea of bed also being sofa which gives you lots more room. The swings and hammocks are a good idea. It’s just so cool!
