Hmmm. . . there have been a lot of homes in trees and on stilts lately. Did I miss something? Are we expecting a bunch of 100 year floods? Lol! This is precious! It is so pretty, lovely decorating, and rustic touches. I think it would be fun to stay in this tiny treehouse.
Haven’t you been keeping up with the news lately? Floods, floods and more floods.
True! I kept up with the AZ floods in Miami, Claypool, and Globe mostly as so many of my friends live there. It’s a mess. Now that would be a good place to build some treehouses!
…and I kept up with the floods in NZ. West Coast big floods esp Greymouth where 60% of land area under water. But large areas of the country were inundated.
Plus Europe was badly hit. UK, plus Belgium, Germany, Romania, Italy, Italy, Switzerland et al.
Global warming has a LOT to answer for, and it is predominantly the heavy industralised countries that have caused it… including, but nowhere near solely, the United States. When will they learn? When will we (NZ) learn?
Nope, it’s not global warming anymore, it’s climate change… They had to change it when it proved to not be consistent nor directly correlate to carbon emission levels.
It’s mainly politically correct to blame emissions but as a point of fact they don’t actually know what role it plays, they just think it might but at the same time they ignore all the other factors that effect climate like the sun, etc.
So they don’t actually understand how the climate works. Something they prove every time they fail to predict the weather accurately for even the next week, let alone the next 12 years…
All they know is there appears to be a trend towards a general warming but that’s it and it’s really only been happening in the last 30 years and this is despite emission levels dropping to lower than they had been the previous century, from the start of the industrial revolution… Everything else is conjecture and assumptions, which has been heavily influenced by politics…
Problem is politically motivated solutions is equivalent to someone deciding to perform surgery on you with no previous medical training… They have no idea whether it’ll work or make things worse!
There’s already quite a few examples of bad green policies that end up in a number of localized disasters and we’ve mostly just been lucky it hasn’t escalated to a global scale that would effect everything…
Real science questions everything, even conclusions! So anything that doesn’t follow that isn’t real science… It’s only through questioning and debating that we go from theory to provable facts and evolve our understanding over time to correct previous misconceptions and figure out how things actually work…
GASP!!!! They changed the name… OMG, the sky is falling, the sky is FALLING!!! 🤣
Fun fact… I used to work for the New Zealand Ministry for the Environment. I was talking to some people about that the general consensus was that it couldn’t be the oceans were rising because of Global Warming… and bam, the chief scientist told me to shut up, I knew nothing about it. Dismissed just like that… so I told the people around me that he was ignorant. Why? Because the icebergs were melting. Icebergs are made up of pure water, not salt water. The visible part of the iceberg is a mere 5% +/- of the whole iceberg (if I recall correctly). The rest of the iceberg sits under the sea. But as the iceberg melts it loses mass, so therefore it takes up less space so the oceans should be going down, not up. But the oceans are rising so there must be another cause. My theory is that industrial pollution is the cause. Making land masses lose ice. The culprits? China. USA. India. Pakistan. All those heavily industrialised countries plus the cumulative effect of all the other countries.
Well, between factors like tectonic plate movement and coastal erosion… It probably doesn’t help they move/replace those rulers for measuring the sea levels every few years because they keep moving, which makes for questionable results to draw conclusions from as you can’t really get accurate results if you keep resetting the test and don’t do a continuous test to actually measure change accurately…
But it’s also details they don’t like to tell people like while the North Pole may have gotten warmer, the South Pole has gotten colder. So much so, Sea ice at the South Pole has rebounded in 2020 and 2021, to the levels of some 3-decades ago and it’s still increasing…
There’s a lot of details like that they keep trying to leave out or explain away as it doesn’t support their narrative… Meanwhile, they just released a study that claims gas cooking is bad for the environment and health. So they’re going to start banning those eventually too…
Mind, we’re living on a planet where all life is carbon based and carbon is vital to life. Yet they keep telling us carbon is bad for the environment and our health… Actually cutting off carbon means we couldn’t grow food, trees would not grow, etc… It’s equivalent to telling us water is bad for the environment and us without any context, as if it’s always true, and telling us to just cut it off and treat it as toxic… Just something to think about when they state such things and act like the debate is over and everything they’re telling you is completely accurate and the only interpretation when it’s not…
For a “tiny House”, it just does not get any better than this. You have two areas to sit out, one ground level, and the other is up high, . . .and safe. Remarkable!!
