Tiny Yacht in British Columbia For Sale

Interested in living life on the sea? How about purchasing this tiny yacht that’s for sale!

It’s been recently remodeled, and right now it’s moored in Shelter Island Marina, in Richmond BC, and is 34 feet long. Take it away or stay in BC:

There is a waiting list for an available slip at Shelter Island BUT because the boat is already moored there, the new owner would bypass the waiting list and only have to apply to the marina office.

Moorage is charged according to length of the boat, this one runs around $500 a month. Liveaboard is more expensive but if you pay your moorage a year at a time it is much cheaper, probably $450. Each slip has a power hookup and separate breaker box and meter. Cable TV and Internet is available but up to the individual to hook it up themselves. There is a pump station for emptying the black water.
Dogs and cats are welcome.

From Carrie:

I recently redid my brother’s 34′ yacht, living on it while doing the work. I must say, living on water adds to the living tiny experience wonderfully.

The boat is located in Shelter Island Marina, in Richmond BC. Less than an hour from Vancouver airport and downtown Vancouver. From this location a person can quite feasibly fish for salmon, swim in the ocean, snow ski, hike, swim in a mountain lake, visit an art museum, and go for a beer and burger in Whistler, all in one day…

Each slip has a power hookup and separate breaker box and meter. Cable TV and Internet is available but up to the individual to hook it up themselves. There is a pump station for emptying the black water. Dogs and cats are welcome.

There are mailboxes for mail delivery and hot private immaculate shower facilities at the clubhouse, which are free. Also there is a very clean reasonably priced laundry facility in the clubhouse. Plus a gym, restaurant, liquor store and pub. Grocery stores, shopping and casino are within a 15 minute drive.

The price is $16,900 CAD (about $12,300 USD) or best reasonable offer. There is also the possibility of a “rent to own” kind of agreement with a substancial down payment/security deposit, credit check etc.

The yacht is totally mechanically sound with newly rebuilt engines and too many upgrades and new parts to list here. I can email a full list to anyone interested. Rest assured it is very sea worthy and safe, and is appraised in the high $20’s.
The reason for selling is my brother has upgraded to a much larger and newer boat.

The aft stateroom needs a new ceiling covering and lights wired in. The boat can be plugged into 30 Amp power or run lights on battery power. The stove is electric, the fridge is 3-way and works but is old.

Overall size is 34×13.5 ft. Inside Sq. footage approx 200 + ft. It has two staterooms, each with ensuite 3 piece bathroom. The rear bathroom shower has been converted to closet space but easily changed back.

LOTS of storage! Storage in all the stairs, floor hatches, in side walls and in hull.

There are lots of THs like this as boats always have been tiny. And a large surplus as they cost money to keep and barely get used, lots on the market.
The big problem is keeping it from sinking which is a big problem renting to buy for the seller unless insurance is required.
I love living on the water but it can keep you on your toes especially newbies.
But hard to beat especially anchored out.
I’m likely to be living on a solar powered powerboat soon as the cheapest way to live near free downtown and solar has become so, so cheap and EV battery modules too.
