New tiny house owners Chris and Tamara are ski fanatics who would choose to live on the slopes if they could, and tiny living got them pretty close to just that. Downsizing gave this couple the mobility to live where they want, pursue their passions and save money in the long run.

Love it. Want it. The outdoor decks are amazing. Outside space is almost more important than inside space to me. Like the inside a lot too. Especially the big open room. Not sure if the dog would attempt the indoor stairs, but I do like the way they work. Plenty of kitchen space for me. Beautiful walls.

I love the decks, and the outdoor steps to get to it. I would like to build a house on a 5th (Gooseneck) trailer, and have some external storage under the gooseneck. I am sure how I would want to design it, but I would locking storage outside for skies, snowboards, and even summer sports such as surfing, (surfboards), bikes, outdoor table, chairs and loungers. even a portable spa. I like the ski lodge on wheels concept. I may want a multi purpose lodge for all seasons, thus I could travel to ski areas in the winter, and beach areas in the summer, and travel in between, for fall and spring. Great if you can have a work at home career, or be your own boss. (Writer, Publisher, Graphic Design Artist, Photographer). This is a nice lodge on wheels. I like the outdoor deck instead of an indoor loft, than you are not bonking your head, I would want to have a couch/bed, more kitchen space, and I don’t see a bathroom, and of course a washer/dryer combo. I do like this one.

Is it just me, or is this a split level design?? That bench area is underneath the loft with the sofa, and it’s at a lower level than the kitchen. Pretty creative for a tiny home. They don’t show the bathroom, but I think it’s just to the left of the door (behind the stove wall).

The tiny House nation article says that the owner wants to be a professional skier, that they wanted deck space for “crafts,” and a hot tub. Call me a negative nellie, but wouldn’t a professional skier need a lot more gear than this tiny house can comfortably fit, like several ski outfits, lots of boots, lots of skis, tools/wax/etc? I don’t see a washing machine — guess they take a lot of trips to the laundromat. I hope the crafting is something like knitting which doesn’t take up much room.

And, that giant yellow salsa bowl is the Alfi Fire wood-burning hot tub. You can buy it on Amazon for $4229.27 (so much for frugal living :-p).

I am a “Damsel-In-Distress” in need of my own apt or small home. I currently live on a fixed income, early retirement of $810/mo due to go up some in a couple of yrs. I have COPD (lung condition) so I need something with a good ventilation unit and I love the more modern styling but no loft bedroom. I love watching your shows on tv. I would like to get in touch with someone locally in the Seattle/Everett area to get the ball rolling as I know it may take some time for financing, etc. Could you recommend someone. Who knows, -maybe they even need some help! Thank you!
