  WE NEED COMMUNITIES LIKE THIS ONE FOR HOMELESS SINGLES, MARRIED, FAMILIES, ELDERLY, AND DISABLED FOLKS AS WELL. WE NEED TO SOLVE THE ENTIRE HOMELESS POPULATION AND NOT JUST ONE SEGMENT. EVERYONE OF US COUNTS, AND ALL OF US CAN NOT BE DOING THE SAME THINGS WITH OUR LIVES!!!

  What makes a Tiny Home Legal ?

  Who owns the Property that you Mortgaged to gain that American Dream ? Do you own it? or does someone else? Don’t you have to SIGN a Mortgage Agreement that YOU own it free of any lien or encumbrance? Check out your Mortgage Agreement. It says YOU OWN IT! Herein lies the problem You are only the HOLDER not the OWNER , to which either you lied to the Mortgage Company, or the Real Estate Broker LIED TO YOU. So what makes a Tiny Home Legal or Illegal? That is the question that needs to be discussed.

  The Tiny Home on Wheels is PERSONAL PROPERTY in which you OWN ABSOLUTELY. You don’t need permission to use your own property because if you did, then someone claims superior ownership. And, that claim cannot be validated unless someone else holds the TITLE or assumes they have the right to be your master and dictate what you can do with your own property. A way to ownership is for you to Register with the state and to do so, you surrender Original Title (Certificate of Origin). That means the STATE is now the Superior over what you can or cannot do with your own property. But what if You built the unit by yourself, You are the originator, creator/builder and Absolute owner… until you freely and without coercion give that title to the State.

  So , to make a Tiny Home Legal you have to give up your rights!

  I have a Tiny Home and I live in it because I own it and have not granted any rights of equal or superior status to any Code Enforcement scheme. Check your Codes and look for the AUTHORITY to govern that activity. I bet you will find that it is for PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY… But wait, is your home Public or Private Property. Think about that!.

  would love see plans and materials. best I could tell the hitch end is on the back since appears to be trailer mounted. she got the question right-what are your concerns about tiny homes? located in area with small older homes it said and with community gardens they add to area not detract. But needs be for others too, it is a start.

    No trailers on these, they’re on foundations… These are long term low income housing for vets to either rent or opt to buy the home and be able to live in it for the rest of their lives, and the way they did it would allow them to be placed almost anywhere…

    The organization is trying to get more of these built all across the country… They were even at the recent HUD Housing Innovation event that took place in Washington, DC…

  I surely hope these units are air conditioned. I don’t see any units on the roof, in the windows or on a pad adjacent to the tiny home. It reaches 115 on many summer days here and doesn’t get below 85 at night. Sensible studio layout. But frankly, there are studios available in Phoenix for that same dollar amount in similar neighborhoods. I would think that 3 units don’t even put a minor dent in the need.
