    That gambrel peak makes a huge difference in interior space. The photos don’t really give a good idea of the overall look inside but it seems to be well laid out. Definitely a cute little place and having a balcony upstairs would be great.

    Nice gambrel roofed cabin. It’s not an a-frame, nor is the one it is linked to in NC. It is a lot more trouble to build than an a-frame but it does yield a lot more useable space.

    A-frames are the utmost in simplicity to build and very strong as the frame is just the two roofs and the floor, forming a triangle. You see them in places with high snow loads.
