Don’t be ridiculous. That is over 43 million square feet of land, at a price of less than 1 cent/sq ft. That is a bargain, irrespective of structures.

Except that none of it would belong to you…notice that it says you would only have ‘access’ to the land, not own any of it.

We ran into a lot of those scams when we were looking for land to start a farm on.

IMHO, this is an exorbitant amount of money that would get the tiny house owner nothing except a spot to park it. Almost a third of a million dollars and no land deed to show for it? Unless I’m missing something here, this is insane.

Everything about this house is beautiful. The site of the build is spectacular. Most impressive is the creative use of ranch land while maintaining the ranch itself.

1,000 acres, but good for what? It looks dry, like a desert and don’t know much about farms, but if I wanted it for cattle, it’s not good! So why would I want this for? I need a tiny house on a farm land that’s a healthy land. Way too expensive for the condition it’s in, although the tiny house is great.

How much does it cost not to own land. I need an environment ly safe Inc ntaminated place to live a tiny house is all I would be able to afford. What would be my responsibility to the ranchee altatude of the landshare weather ,watersorceis it off grid

I would suggest that unless one had expertise in Cattle ranching in a desert, this is not a good situation, regardless of how much one may like the cottage. The desert in this area of the world is unforgiving!

It’s really hard to get an idea of the layout of the house from the photos they provide. Looks like a charmer though.

Wow! Absolutely amazing! Beautiful house and all that land. And did you see the creek below? I love being near water. It’s a great price for the area and the project. If I had the money, I would buy it today, go adopt about 4 dogs and a couple of cats, buy a couple of horses and goats, and enjoy the great outdoors! It is so beautiful!

Hello – the article says you get “access” to the land. You are not buying the land! You are NOT gonna be the rancher! You just get to live there. And anyone who can drop $295K for a house is going to want MORE for their money. Unless it’s just a vacation home.

As my grandma would tell me almost 6 decades ago: “a fool and his money…..”

Definitely would need to do your due diligence and research terms and conditions. The stated purpose is to develop in a limited way that preserves the land and ranch but still provides enough incentive and income to the rancher to keep the place working rather than fully developed for housing. Sounds good in principal. Kudos to the originators for coming up with an innovative solution. Obviously not for everybody but it doesn’t need to be, it’s a niche market. There could be variations for other landscapes as well.
