I congratulate you Natalie for the great job of assembling such a perfect cottage with 5* commodities, but thee outside view from the horizont makes you forget you even had a house.

Wow!!! Is this for sale? I am 2 1/2 hours from Yosemite. Love this cabin. Everything is perfect. I love living in the Sierra’s. I don’t miss the ocean. Lot of lakes, rivers and creeks up here.

what would it cost to build something like this it’s perfect for me now that all my family has passed away and I’m alone? I’d buy this place if it was for sale.

I’m afraid it’s not for sale. But it is an Airbnb.

Very well done, love that there is room for furniture and the way things flow – I imagine the lack of doors inside is for heat flow from the wood stove but otherwise it looks very cozy and liveable.

Beautiful cabin at the threshold to one of the most beautiful and iconic places in the world. Big Oak Flat, though, not Big Flat Oak, right? Boy I miss living in California.

Love, love, love this place. The ONLY thing I would change is I’d have a bathtub/shower instead of just a shower. Otherwise, it’s exactly what I’d love to live in.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL !! IT’S PERFECT !!! BOY, DO I WISH I COULD GO THERE, I AM ILL AND LIVE ON SOCIAL SECURITY SO I CAN’T EVEN VISIT. IF I WERE YOUNGER I WOULD GO THERE IN A MINUTE . THIS PLACE WOULD BE HEAVEN TO VISIT OR LIVE IN ON THE RANCH. COMMENT: I SEE THE HUGE TV IN THE BEDROOM BUT THE CHAIRS ARE UNDERNEATH IT AND THE BED IS NOT IN A POSITION TO WATCH IT. YOU SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING ACROSS FROM THE TV SO PEOPLE CAN WATCH IT.

I thought that too but I am going to assume that the tv pulls out and can be repositioned. This place is so wonderful. The only real change I would make is to have an enclosed sink instead of pedistale. That way I would have somewhere to hise my toothpaste and toothbrush. Since it is an Air BandB I guess it is ok.

    • May 22, 2021, 3:10 am

Gorgeous. But, as Karen said, there’s hardly a vantage point set up to see the TV. I wondered if the bed could be turned to go against the bathroom wall. It’s so hard to tell sizes or distance in these types of photos. Other than that, it’s really well done.
I kind of fit in with a few others who wrote on this one in that my family has almost all passed, and it would be a great place to start over, BUT, I’m very ill and on a tight pension, so I’m not going anywhere. 🙂 It’s fun to dream, though.
      Love Lyn

JUST A LITTLE ADD ON: PERHAPS MOVING THE TV ACROSS FROM THE BED WOULD BE BETTER, THEN YOU CAN WATCH IT WHILE LYING IN BED AND ALSO FROM THE TWO LEATHER CHAIRS. GOSH, I JUST LOVE THIS PLACE !!! PERHAPS I WILL BE ABLE TO VISIT SOMEDAY, I KNOW I WOULD NEVER EVER WANT TO GO BACK TO FLORIDA. I ONLY LIVE IN FLORIDA FOR MY HEALTH. I LIVED IN VERMONT FOR A FEW YEARS WHEN I WAS YOUNGER AND LOVE THE MOUNTAINS.

Oh! This is wonderful! It is just like the tiny house my Aunt Hattie and Uncle Dabner lived in here in NC. I spent many summers there working in tobacco and sleeping with my cousins in the loft over the main room. I love this! It’s so perfect!
