A number of folks who live in La Honda commute to jobs in Silicon Valley and would find the price of this property very affordable. It’s a beautiful area within an easy reach of the ocean.

From the pics this cabin appears to have two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! Each bed and bath shown are entirely different! Maybe a mix up in pics of properties?

The listing shows it as one bed, 1 1/2 bath. But in the description, it noted the extra bedroom with the Murphy bed. It may be that rule about closets? No closet, it’s not officially a bedroom? At any rate… it’s a beautiful little cabin in an awesome setting!

i think the mystery of the extra bed can be explained in the 3rd to the last photo: the attic room is actually in the tree house back in the distance, i believe… there seems no attic space of the cabin. And the roof slope of the cabin does not match the murphy bed room, nor was there a photo showing where the folding stairs might have been located on the ground floor…..it must be the treehouse.
failing that there is a basement (entered from below)

Per the listing: “Upstairs bedroom is multi-use, with “secret” hatch to lower level, and murphy bed that looks like a closet. So it can double as an office, yoga or meditation room. Lower level has full bath, washer/dryer partitioned off, and large closet space.” Lower level probably considered a basement and therefore not included in square footage, even if finished with a bedroom and bath. It also sounds like if the hatch is covered by the bed in the bedroom that’s technically not a bedroom, then you’ll have to walk around outside. But hey, you’ll be in CA, so who cares!

I guess if I owned those magnificent trees I could understand the price but WOW!

    Nice digs, but pricey!

      Alas! It’s true.

Inside is cared for in the slightest detail with sobriety refinement, but let me express my utmost approval in the best part that extends long and large by exploiting the natural scenography of the land immersed by these good giants that are wonderful secular trees, I believe sequoias.

Yes those are undoubtedly the best part 🙂

The murphy bed closet leads down to the bedroom with the purple colored bed and curtain. You can see the railing extend behind the purple curtain. So I’m guessing its only a secret hatch if the murphy bed is down. Kinda wondering if that is the only entry down to the room or would it violate any building codes.

  • Avatar Glema June 24, 2017, 10:33 am

There is a stairway under where the Murphy Bed goes. What is that for? Is there a basement or a cellar? The “other” bedroom perhaps? Anyone else seen this place firsthand? Just askin. Have a great day! God bless you all.

5,310 sq. ft. lot? That can only be the part with the pavers because our garage is bigger than that! The other 2 houses were right up on it, not getting much for 1/2 million dollars.

    • Avatar Debz September 24, 2017, 10:56 pm

Is your garage really bigger than 5310 square feet, Candide33?

Uff-da! How many vehicles do you put in there?

    I love everything about it😍
