Do they have earthquakes in Brazil?

Kathy, I have been living in the Northeast Brazil for a couple of years and never experienced an earthquake. The Sao Paulo area where this house is located is so far South that I assume that they never got hit by a quake. However, with the climate changes nowadays you never know.

There is an outfit in Fort Myers, FL. that is selling something close to this, something on the style of a geological correct house, and Terra farming communities package deals…! It’s something like back in the 60’s, living in communion style community…! Tilapia farming, palm oil , and other Eco friendly items….

Zachary, please provide more information about Fort Myers location. Thank you.

It is as I understand in Belize that the actual property is located, and it is only a realty office in Fort Myers, Fl. that is handling the US sales of these lots for sale, and not directly in Fort Myers, Fl. exactly…! I should have mentioned that first and do apologize if I had confused anyone earlier in my previous comment….

Yes, in Belize there are many Houses built on stilts because of airflow and flooding. They are using the space below the house as carport and outdoor living.
          Anyway, thanks Zachary.

Beautiful the essential line of this daring costruction that defies any kind of territory. Well anchored with steel elements in concrete blocks recessed in the ground. It seems to glide sucked into landscape.

I love how much sunlight this place gets. The ceiling space and the first floor bedroom(s) make it feel roomier. Nice.

BEAUTIFUL on the inside, but I am very leery about those stilts. Vertigo would hit me every time I look at them.

I like the simplicity of the floor plan and it is for sure easy to build every there as Gabriella said. Although it has a small food print, it offers two bathrooms and a spacious bedroom which can be used as home office when you put a Murphy Bed. However, in FL I wouldn’t put it on stilts but I can see it as a floating home, too.
I am going to contact the designer to figure out cost because although I speak Portuguese I didn’t find anything about it on their website.
    Great little gem.

It is certainly beautiful on the inside but the stilt timbers don’t look parallel into the ground (or is it just the photography?).
