A couple weeks ago we shared Tiffany the Tiny Home by A New Beginning Tiny Homes. Then we heard from Tiffany’s new owners!
Tim and Sam are moving into the house in the next month, and talked to us about their experience finding Tiffany and downsizing their lives. They will share frequent posts about their new minimalist life on their blog, Tiffany the Tiny Home, which you can follow here.

How wonderful are those stained glass windows?
Excellent storage steps! Keep everything tucked away.
Wonderfully quaint kitchen with bead board ceilings.

The robin’s egg blue (or is it Tiffany?) accent color is just lovely!

Interview with the Owners:
What are your name(s)?
Tim Davidson & Sam Cosner
How many people (and animals) will are living in your tiny house?
Just us, plus our handsome kitty Oliver (for some reason we call him Buddy and he thinks that’s his name lol).
Where do you live?
West coast of Florida
Why did you decide to go tiny? What are you hoping to get out of living tiny?
I think Sam and I over the last couple years really looked at what we value in life and we found out that our values did not line up with what the rigid “American dream” looked like. I think living tiny was something that did line up and having more focus on less things, more experiences, better relationships, deeper conversations and more trees around. It feels like a dream.
How did you first learn about tiny houses?
I am not sure honestly. Sam saw tiny houses on HGTV but it seemed so unattainable until we actually started looking into it.
How did you build your tiny house? Did you have any help? Did you do it yourselves?
We wish we built Tiffany! Adam at A New Beginning Tiny Homes is the one that designed and built the home. Adam is an incredible, humble guy. His attention to detail is what sold us. Every time we walk into Tiffany we find a little hidden secret about her. I could not recommend him enough.
How long did it take to finish your tiny house?
It took Adam 4 ½ months.
How did you find a place to park and live in your tiny house?
Lots of research and phone calls. This was the hardest part out of the whole experience of purchasing a tiny home. It was such a tedious experience that it’s going to be a large section of our website about Tiffany. Hopefully this helps others avoid the headache and makes it easier.
Before going tiny, what was life like?
I wish I had some crazy story about having a 9-5 and leaving it to go tiny but sadly, I don’t. I still have a sales job as a lighting manufacture rep working with my brother. We are currently in the transition of moving into our tiny home in the next couple weeks!
What benefits are you experiencing after going tiny?
So far, getting rid of a huge chunk of our possessions has been an eye opening experience. It helps us understand what we need and don’t need in our life.
What about some challenges?
Letting get go of sentimental things but then coming to the conclusion that the memories are still with us.
What makes your tiny house special?
I mean, it’s Tiffany. She’s a one of a kind type of gal.
What is your favorite part of your tiny house?
My favorite part is the thought Adam put into utilizing every inch of the space, as well as the great detail in every part of the home. Sam loves the barrel ceiling and the removable bath tub, and Oliver’s custom kitty cubby.
What helpful advice would you give to others interested in going tiny?
Talk to people. It’s a very open community and everyone wants to help you. Don’t be shy.

So I’m interested in that gorgeous tub. Does it just lift out to use the shower (also gorgeous)? Or what is the plan? Is it very heavy?
Yes it’s removable, Annette. Not sure how heavy, though!
