I’ve seen a lot of tiny homes, but La Tiny Houses in France has really thought outside the tiny house box on this design for a family of four! This French Tiny Home has a loft bedroom for the parents, and then built-in bunk beds for their kids separated by a partition. In the end, everyone has their own bedroom cubbie.
They also used the top of the cabinets as the final “stair” to the second floor/loft, which always for easier getting in and out of bed. There’s even a spot for a keyboard in this little home.
Usually, family THOWs are incredibly long, but this little house looks pretty easy to tow and has a fun exterior shape. Enjoy the photo tour!

I think I like it, but I am still a little confused about the bunks. For the most part it’s lovely.
I had to look at it about three times before I got it! If you zoom in on the blueprints it gives a better idea of how they’re set up.
Mind, the roof slope is lowest by the entrance, towards the back of the trailer, and highest towards the front. So they basically shoehorned the sleeping spaces towards the highest points of the roof line…
Ladder gets you to a near standing point platform that with a step up leads to a walkway platform… From the exterior, first photo, the upper large window would show you walking past if you were on that walkway and you can see the loft in that shot as well through that window…
Towards the far end is the bunk beds, the lower bunk is right over the end wall of the bathroom where the combo washer/dryer and storage drawers are located. While the upper bunk bed is right above that one and is the highest point of the home, with the loft height set between them… A separate between the loft and the bunk beds provides a step up to reach the upper bunk bed, and incidentally means the upper bunk bed has a little more space than the lower bunk bed.
So, actually 2 bunk beds and a loft… Bunk beds are just large enough to sleep one each and 2 can sleep in the loft, which can work for a family, with 2 kids using the bunk beds…
Clever used of space. Very clever ladder. I can’t tell too much about the overall look of the house, like the living area or bath because of the lack of pictures, but it seems to be a nice tiny house.
What a fabulous Tiny! Aesthetically so pleasing. Sometimes having so much wood is overwhelming but the color of the wood…so light and not yellow-y at all…is easy on the eyes! Add your artwork and personal accents and it would be a very cozy home. The use of space is well thought out and that ladder is so darn clever! The bunk bed areas are cleverly designed and I agree that it is nice that they provide the feeling of separate rooms. It is very small, for sure, and might not be ideal if you were going to live in it for many years as your primary residence but either for a short time or maybe add some length to the whole thing but that would be a custom build to suit whatever your needs are and at greater expense. I would have loved seeing more photos but from what I saw, this little place is loaded with charm. Kudos to the designers! Thanks for sharing!
What kind of wood did they use on the interior, I am wondering. Any way to let us know?
They typically use either Spruce or Popular for their interiors…
