They Sold Their House for a Year on the Road in their Ram Promaster

This post contains affiliate links.

Kasie and Nathan sold their three-bedroom, two-bathroom home with a two-car garage and a yard and moved into their DIY Ram Promaster van conversion for a year on the road.

Two months in, the couple (@steckeradventures) is loving their solar-powered van home, complete with a sneaky little box compartment for their cat, Rory, and a shower stall with cassette toilet eliminating the need for gym bathrooms.

They do most of their cooking in an Instant Pot, and use a dorm fridge to keep food cool. One awesome part of the van is that both the passenger and driver seat swivel around, meaning they didn’t need to build in additional storage. Watch the full tour from Tiny Home Tours below.

SteckerAdventures and Their Van With a Bathroom

The stealthy exterior of the van doesn’t scream “van home.”

They have quite a bit of counterspace for a van.

The litter box is tucked under that bench.

And they have an awesome shower stall with a cassette toilet.

Their bed rests on 2×4 slats and they have storage underneath.

That’s not a bad home, for a year. I’m interested where they will be in 10 or 11 months. also their thoughts on, what’s next in a year.?? I would not be against trying that myself. It is kind of what I’ve been thinking about.
I wish them good luck and safe travels.

I think it’s a fun thing to experience for a year and then maybe they can go back to a smaller footprint home or something like that 🙂
