They Live In A School Bus w/ Their 3 Dogs!

This post contains affiliate links.

This is Nick and Frankie, their school bus conversion tiny home, and their 3 beautiful dogs. One night they watched a documentary about a couple who were traveling around the United States, and they looked at each other, and asked, “can we do that?”

Fast forward to today, and they’re living full-time in their custom-built skoolie with a raised roof so it feels pretty spacious inside. It’s painted white, has custom windows, solar panels, and there’s even a wood-burning stove inside to make it feel like you’re in a cabin. Enjoy the photo and video tour below!

Couple Living Full-Time In Their School Bus Conversion With Their 3 Dogs in Colorado!

It all started when they watched a documentary of someone else who was living and traveling on the road.

Happy Home Bodies-002

Within a month, they were fully committed with a bus! They raised the roof, and started making it into the beautiful tiny home that you see here…

Happy Home Bodies-003

It’s almost like you can’t tell it’s a bus right?

Happy Home Bodies-004

It’s just over 200-sq.-ft. of space.

Happy Home Bodies-005

They just started living in the bus recently, (it’s still their first year), but so far they are learning a lot and enjoying it, too.

Happy Home Bodies-006

They spent a total of about 60,000 to build this beautiful home on wheels. A lot of money, but much less than buying a home.

Happy Home Bodies-007

Thanks to their bus, they have more time now to spend in the outdoors, exploring, and hiking.

Happy Home Bodies-008

And when they start venturing out and traveling longer distances, it’s nice to know they their actual home will be able to go along with them, too.

Happy Home Bodies-009

One of the nicest skoolies yet!

Feeding the doggies 🙂

Happy Home Bodies-011

Plenty of space to cook!

A cozy main floor bedroom in the rear of the bus.

Can you imagine living and traveling out of your very own motor cottage like this?

Very nice work, looks comfy, airy and roomy.
Isn’t it more than 200 sq feet though?
    I am guestimating interior room at 7.5′ x 30′ = 225 sq ft.

I love what they’ve done with the ceiling. The curves and the wood are very appealing. I’d like to know more about that shower head they were raving about. What’s it called?

I am in love with this home. I don’t say tiny house or bus house or any of the other things they call them because this is a home. And it is desirable and perfect.

I have been looking at Tiny houses for years and have seen some nice bus conversions. This has to be the best
interior so far. The exterior is nice but doesn’t have the polish of the inside. Would love this for myself. Great job

This is beautiful! I like the exterior. It looks like a custom built rv. Raising the roof was a brilliant idea. You guys could build these for others for a living. Thanks for sharing!

This bus looks like home! I love the ceilings, and the bathroom is beautiful. The vintage looking kitchen cabinet handles add so much charm to the kitchen. What a great idea to incorporate the front of the bus area into the rest of the house. Nice! It is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Great job!

I love it, especially that kitchen! Those little lockers are just incredible! The fireplace is beautiful too. The only thing I dislike is the little perch upon bench – I imagine a person with a better design ability than me could come up with a way to extend that bench to be a comfy couch that moves out of the way when you need it too. Gorgeous home.

This is a time I can see where 60k went. This is just beautiful and the details are so luxurious. Wonderfully decorated. So cozy and, yet, spacious.

This is the very best bus conversion I have seen ever. It is so beautiful and it looks like a very nice expensive home which it is. Love the pups, that is a big plus for me.
