“The World Tree” THOW for 6’3″ Owner

This post contains affiliate links.

You don’t have to be a tiny person to live in a tiny home! Francis just got his custom-built THOW from Baluchon, specially-designed to accommodate his 6’3″ height. Even as tall as he is, Francis chose a loft bedroom set-up for his new full-time house.

He has a fun kitchen design that’s separated from the living space with a half-wall and window divider. In the living room, you’ll find a multipurpose couch that not only includes lots of storage but becomes a bed for two when needed. He named it “The World Tree” after Norse mythology. What do you like about this build?

This is cute for a weekend getaway. But permanent living would be much too Claustrophobic for me. And the living area looks very uncomfortable.

It’s very nice. I like the rope “wall” in the loft extension. The kitchen ceiling and lighting is stylish and classy.

Sure, the Baluchon is nice, and they stick to a basic plan, which means no radical changes to the inside and things can be standardised, but for me its a couple of tads too small.

I like the dry toilet, a composting unit makes sense and allows more remote parking choices if you don’t mind dumping it as needed. Loft bedrooms are OK but I like the idea some have used of having a low ceiling bedroom underneath a raised living room. No tall stairs to the bedroom and just a few steps up to the elevated family room. You could even do one on the other side of the unit, a second/guest/child’s bedroom under the bathroom and a study area. The floor space in between the two raised areas would be for the kitchen and an office/crafts area.

I was in LOVE with this house, right up until I saw the bathroom. No sink? Or did I miss it? Please tell me I missed it?

Nope, just the one sink two steps away…

This house is fabulous in every detail! I love the medium stain on the kitchen walls with the blue cabinets. The whole house is lovely and well planned. Congrats!
