The SimBLISSity 24′ + 7′ JJ’s Place: Rustic Elegance

This post contains affiliate links.

This is the SimBLISSity 24′ + 7′ JJ’s Place, which I call “Rustic Elegance.”

The custom home sits on a 24′ gooseneck with a 7′ “deck” where the main bedroom is located, allowing for nearly 6 ft. of headroom, which is great for a tiny house bedroom. The house won the Denver Home Show’s “best use of space” award, and after taking the photo tour, I’m sure you’ll see why! The use of beetle kill pine and corrugated metal makes the inside cozy and romantic.

Get all the details below and enjoy the pictures! If you want a home like it, find the contact info for SimBLISSity at the end.

The SimBLISSity 24′ + 7′ JJ’s Place: Rustic Elegance

Stunning galley kitchen with such cool colors and textures.

Living room and stairs to the gooseneck bedroom (6 ft. of head room!)

Believe it or not, this is a propane unit! Remote-controlled.

Closer look at the love seat and this awesome ceiling fan.

Wood burning stove look, without the mess (although it’s a mess I love!).

Standard RV-sized oven and cook top. Now you can bake!

I’m in love with how much counter space you get in this one.

The folding table and chair is a great idea for the dining space.

So many beautiful touches, like the woodwork around the windows.

Bathroom features the Nature’s Head composting toilet the owner wanted.

I love that turquoise is so “in” these days. Beautiful color.

The pebble floors couldn’t be cuter. The night light is helpful!

How do you like this bedroom? You can stand up!

The door is also extra quaint and rustic. So inviting.

JJ’s Tiny House in on the road to its new home!

I love the pebble flooring in the bathroom and the wood throughout. Perhaps consider putting sliding “drawers” in the stairs so that space isn’t wasted.
I love that it’s stairs rather than a ladder… and the couch that cuddles up to it is terrific!

It’s a lovely THOW. However, for safety, I’d like to have a heat resistant shield between the wood stove and the walls, as it doesn’t seem to meet safety clearances.

Erin, it’s not a real wood stove… It’s just a propane/gas heater made to look like a wood stove.

Though, there are wood stoves that don’t require a lot of clearance… Like Marine wood stoves, which you might have seen mounted on the walls of some Tiny Houses with just a metal heat shield between it and the wall, among a few others that are specially designed for near zero clearance… Some even function like a furnace and channel the heat out a exhaust and it’s mainly the exhaust that then requires clearance rather than the whole stove or fireplace…

Dark wood looks nice but makes it smaller. In principle the idea to extend the bed over the couch is nice however it gives up the typical storage which is found on most RV. Bath should be closer to the bedroom and the kitchen arrangement shows the narrow space.
I would put the living area in the center, kitchen to the back for more counterspace and less length and bathroom between living and sleeping.

How do you get in to the loft?

Love that bathroom sink. The tiny sinks are good for small bathrooms but once you add the faucet, you only have about a half of the sink to wash with. A lot of the water ends up on the floor. However, I find this home wonderful, perfect, awesome, great, lovely, and I like it too.

I like most of this but the wood stove would not meet code in any jurisdiction. No floor protection, no wall protection and an electric outlet behind it that would literally melt. A bit iresponsible to show this

Why don’t people actually read before commenting……it is a propane stove, which means cool to the touch, back and sides. No melting, no breaking codes, no need for metal shields. It’s sad that someone builds such an awesome creation and some people have such a need to criticize they have to make up things.

I am loving it so much….which leads me to ask how much did this cost to construct?

Love the decor, but only a twin bed? Also an inaccessible storage loft, does not seem well thought out.

Storage loft is accessed with a ladder, which is stored away until it’s needed… It’s a custom build, so it was tailored to the owner’s preferences.

This is charming. The lady that this was built for is one lucky girl. Just for my part, I would be losing my pillows during the night with them falling down to the lounge area, but thats just me, I am pretty restless at the best of times. I love that you can actually walk around the bed, that is a major plus. It has so much character. I hope she is still enjoying life in her tiny.

Well, could always just make that partial wall a little taller or install a headboard to make it harder to lose your pillows. ;-p
