I Love it and so want it. I live in GA though and am just learning about tiny homes. If I bought it, I would need to finance and I’ve honestly never done that before. It’s absolutely perfect and gorgeous though!!!! <3 <3

I built a tiny (6′ x 6′) tiny house back in 2014 that I called the Nest and that was featured on this and other sites, so I am wondering how this person or company gets to use that name. The Nest is already taken, please rename your very large “tiny house” something else. Otherwise, it has some very nice features.

@ Marsha. Did you officially register (trademark) that name?

Technically, by publishing it on this site (and others) yes! It would hold up in court like addressing something to yourself and mailing it with a postal seal. The idea is proving that you had it first. The point is, though, not a legal one, just one of courtesy and respect for other people’s ideas. If a person has to file a legal document to protect a name they affectionately gave to their home to keep a large business from using it for their commercial endeavor, then that’s just sad. That’s all I am saying.

Seriously? lol… soo, with that logic, no one should name their kids, dogs, cats, etc. any name thats already in use? lol

@ Marsha. I can assure you that legally you don’t have a leg to stand on. Furthermore, as you should know, the name “Nest” is widely used in the Tiny House community. There are Tiny Houses called Nest all over the US and Canada and there is even a Tiny House builder called The Nest, based both in Florida and Indiana.

Well, I know better, but life is short, so in the words of Stan Lee in1961 a Fantastic Four comic, “Nuff said.”

if a word, name is too common copy writing it won’t work. As the other person mentioned, The Nest is used all over, from B & Bs to restarants, clothing stores, and home décor stores. its like naming something “the dog house” its not going to pass copy write laws anywhere. any one is free to use that name.
