The Nautical Tiny House by Rogue Valley Tiny Home Construction

I just showed you Jeremy Matlock’s first tiny house build, and here’s his second, the Nautical House! It got its name because people often said it looked like it belonged on water — and I totally agree. Matlock says it was probably an unconscious decision stemming from the 20 years he spent making a living on the water.

It was for sale for $39,500, but alas, has already been purchased! To explore more amazing tiny homes like this, join our Tiny House Newsletter.

I like this, particularly the exterior & the windows are great. I agree it does resemble a house boat. I love the top deck, with the right person you could have a “Titanic” moment. ?

Does the metal tub shower thing hold up? Doesn’t the water leak around the edges and eventually rot the floor? I would love to do that but I’m afraid of unseen problems.

Well it is an interesting house, I’ll say that for it…! And Kathleen before that tub rots out the floor, You should be so lucky to hear about it if you are still around, if ever it should do so…!

The little fold-up desk attached to the stairs is interesting. Not sure how practical it would be, but at least someone’s made an effort to have a workspace!

Nautical, yes and rustic as well. A great lay-out plan with a lot of storage space. Well done!

I like the way this one looks. I have a neighbor with a tub like the one in this trailer and she has been happy with it.
This trailer would be great as a live in space, but it looks to baulky for travel. I would like to know if it handles the road will.

This house is packed with unique design ideas. Love the nautical theme, and the woodworking is great. It is beautiful and practical.
