Now that is max use of space. Very nice layout. Love it!

    It could have been nice.

    It should have been nice.

It ain’t nice… but why? There are good components but they simply don’t seem to gel together in my perception.

Big believer in the old maxim of the whole should be greater than the sum of it’s parts. Unfortunately, for me, that isn’t the case.

It looks pretty on the outside. Inside isn’t bad. Kitchen is way to small. Where is the fridge and stove? I couldn’t live like that. I do love the land.

It wasn’t commissioned as a home but as a writing studio, library, and guesthouse… The owner is an author, Cornelia Funke…

This is really nice for what it is for. Elegant, clean lines, lots of light. I like the high shelves that run along the long walls.

It looks wonderful as a workspace/studio/library or guesthouse, but one important thing I noticed. The lack of a sink in the washroom.

It’s a dry bath, so it doesn’t have a shower either but there’s a sink next to that space if you need one. Otherwise, just use any number of cleaning solutions that don’t require water…

It’s basically a modern style off-grid cabin… You either use it for short stays to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, a nice back to nature quiet space to hear yourself think and then go right back, or you adapt to off-grid living for longer stays…

Owner is an international author from Germany, note Europeans are generally more into real camping vs glamping. European RV’s and other small structures there typically have only one sink… Among other differences from what you may be used to…

I REALLY like the variety of wood tones . . . and the high shelf on both sides with the pipe railing.

Is Cornelia Funke a man, woman or trans?

I would love a get-away place like this; somewhere to escape the rat-race.
