Looks interesting and I like the roof made of laminated waste wood. But as a Concert car the side should either fold up as an awning or down to make stage or both unless you only want a couple people to hear you.

Jerry’s on the right track….if one side could flip down, THAT could be the stage and then you’d just have an outdoor concert where ever you go.
Nice concept for a band, because they just leave their gear setup and take the venue to the people.
Speaking as a musician for almost 40 years now, In that sense, I really like the concept.

On the other hand, this can operate in bad weather and can help avoid confrontations in places where critics might turn into a lynching mob or call the cops on you, as well as be more flexible in what hours of the day it can be operated without necessarily disturbing the neighborhood, while treating it like a mini/mobile night club… ;-p

Seriously?….”oh boy, its thunder and lightning, rain’s coming down in buckets and that gale’s gotta be at least 40 knots!….and I have tickets to see Joe Doaks and the Po-Dunk Band tonight! Woo-Hoo!”….trust me, I’ve stood (or rather, sat) in the pouring rain AND freezing cold, playing to a crowd of none.
Everything you just posted was complete hogwash.

Nonsense? Hardly… While I did state it tongue in cheek (note the text emoticon at the end of my last post)… In all seriousness I can understand if music is your passion and you really don’t care about anything else but not everyone has that singular of a point of view and can’t always just ignore what’s may be more practical and best for the audience, most of who would find it asking a lot for someone they don’t know, who may not even be playing the type of music or song they like, etc. All just to give a chance to some potential new talent that may not even be ready for live performances, a chance, versus whatever else people may rather do with their time.

Up and coming entertainers with aspirations have to often make compromises to get exposure where they can… An enclosed space is far less likely to garner complaints, can allow performing at hours and locations that may otherwise be prohibited in a given area, allows the audience to be more comfortable and thus more likely to focus on the entertainment and come away with a positive impression, etc. Or it can just be used by someone who needs a way to practice as they travel, give private sessions, and a way to also tour while getting gigs along more traditional avenues…

So, it may not be the way you would’ve done it but like most things in life there’s many different ways people can choose to do it that’s valid for them.

Besides, they built it into a box truck. So it still has the option to tow another trailer that can be the outdoor stage and have a lot more chairs, etc. that would be more practical than trying to squeeze it all into just this small footprint and allow for both indoor and outdoor performances… While leaving the option to leave the addition behind when going to places that they can’t do outdoor performances and save on traveling costs… Many designs can be more flexible than it first appears…
