This post contains affiliate links.

Meet the Almont 2.0, a 16-foot tiny house trailer that packs in all you need and leaves out a hard-to-access loft space. A sofa bed provides a spot to sleep in the main living area.

The house also has a compact bathroom with space for a toilet and shower stall, and a kitchenette area with a sink, mini fridge, and counterspace where you could put a convection oven or hot plate. This THOW is a great option for those really wanting to pare down, and starts at less than $40K, making it one of the more affordable professionally-built tiny homes on the market these days.

Although it is cute, I see nothing for storage besides kitchen cabinets and 3 baskets on shelves in living room. Personally I would appreciate an overhead fan so ac/heat could be circulated and would not be needed to blow directly on only sitting/sleeping
    area. Windows are necessarily
(in back half) small but provide cross ventilation.

Well, there’s storage under the optional smart couch (alternatively, you can install furniture with storage in the living space as you can make of it what you will), bathroom ceiling is enclosed so above it functions as a mini-loft that can store some things, and there’s multiple wall hooks to hang a couple of things…

While they offer a custom version you can change the layout and this is only a single level 16′ model but they’re also selling a 20′ model that’ll give you an extra 32 sq ft to fit furniture that can include storage or customize it to include a closet… and the Builder has other models besides this one to choose from with different designs.

Lowes sells a 22″ ceiling fan with a long cord that allows you to hang it wherever you want and plug it into the wall. It is a very, very good fan and puts out a lot of breeze! I have one in my tiny house.

There’s a number on Amazon too… But, you can check stock with online service called Brickseek if you want to buy it locally, to see which store has it in stock before you go out there, and compare prices… Though, Lowes has been pretty good lately with sales and clearances…

The entry hall seems like an inefficient use of space for a tiny house. It does give the bathroom some separation from the main area, which might be nice, and there’s good space for coat hooks. But it uses up a lot of floor space. I do like the green cabinets with butcher block countertop, the white walls and wood-look flooring. Good combination of colors and materials.

Yes I really like that green. I went with a sage color in our home, but the darker is nice!

I liked that empty space, especially for taking off shoes and hanging up coats, umbrellas, handbags, scarves, etc. You could also put a little skinny table there or a wall hanging basket to catch keys and wallets. It keeps the entry from being claustrophobic and adds a feeling of space to the whole house.

Yes, it acts as a foyer or mud room. I can see the appeal.

This is an almost identical floor plan to the Incredible Tiny Homes RJO which you can get for $25k for the same size.

Same size but with no Mini-Split and only basic features, but that would have been over a year ago… Material prices have skyrocketed and even ITH has had to raise their prices. Though, they now offer a foam house option, basically metal SIPs structure, that you can choose to finish off with synthetic Stucco yourself for something that can still be at $25K… Albeit, they still have to update their website… But like many in the industry no one is really sure how long these elevated material prices are going to last… So there’s a wait and see attitude at present, especially, as they’re very reluctant to raise the prices permanently…

It’s really cute and I like it but I wonder if you could put abed over the bathroom for a lofted bedroom? I would love that.

It’s a single level design, with a gabled roof that limits upper space, so would have to raise the height to make room for a lofted sleeping space.

Highlights lists height as 11′ 6″, which means you can raise it an addition 2 feet to 13′ 6″…

I love the tiny house by Lowe’s
list price 37k! Do you have any
sales on this unit? Does it qualify for a VA Loan? Do you
Place and set up unit in Hardy
County WV near lost River Wv

    Thank you
