Tetra-Shed: Modular Office for Your Backyard

This post contains affiliate links.

The Tetra-Shed is a modern backyard structure designed to be used as an office or studio.

At first glance, when it’s all closed up, you might not recognize what the heck it is.

Designed by architect David Ajasa-Adekunle, the Tetra-Shed can be combined with other units.

In the photos below you’ll get to see an illustration of how these units can come together.

Since the Tetra-Shed opens up it can be used for a variety of purposes like a tiny retail store, guest quarters, playhouse and more.

It first started to be offered in the United Kingdom in January 2012.

Tetra-Shed Leaves you with the Flexibility to Expand

Their website says that two modules combined work best for a workspace being used by more than two persons. Although a single Tetra-Shed module seems to be more than enough for one or two people to work from. Either way, you can continue adding on more units to accommodate your needs.

Customizing your Tetra-Shed

The exterior plywood finish can be painted in whatever color you’d like, so if the black’s not working for you, don’t fret.

In addition, you can also choose from a few other finishes like copper, zinc, steel, or marine grade plywood. On the inside, you’ll find either birch-faced plywood or plasterboard.

Alex, I think your readers might be interested in the Starplate Connectors sold by Stromberg’s Chickens (yes, you read right!). From what I can gather, they are the only people who you can get these from. Check out the many things someone can do with these connectors. http://www.strombergschickens.com/prod_detail_list/Starplate-Dome-Kit
