I have yet to write a post about teardrop trailers which is weird because I like them a lot. Here’s a few reasons why…
- Possible to build yourself
- Inexpensive if you build yourself
- Small and easy to take care of
- Not overwhelming
- Easy to tow
- Great on gas
So today I wanted to feature So-Cal Teardrops which is a Teardrop Trailer Builder/Manufacturer
Here’s a picture of what it’s like to be inside of a teardrop trailer (external link–opens in new window)
I took a screen shot of So-Cal’s teardrop trailer models so you can have a quick look here

… You’ll have to visit their website to see more photos and get pricing information.
I know that they are not cheap but if price is an issue you should think about teardrop trailer building plans. I’ll have to make a post on that soon!

We built a Generic Benroy from plans available here http://www.mikenchell.com/ (Plans are free and support from designer and members of their forums is outstanding, and they’re all good folks!).
Hey Rickles thanks for that link, what a great resource. I’ve saved it and plan on posting about it in the future. When I got to the site I was instantly attracted to the “winter warrior” what an awesome teardrop trailer!
I am here to say hello and you have a great site!
I have been looking at different tear drop campers and I really like the So Cal. For one they offer a 5X10. I hope to get to the assembly shop,in North Carolina to see one being assembled. There are a couple others I’m looking at to but So Cal has really caught me eye.
I like So Cal as well. I did a post about them a while back. Glad you came by. Let me know what you end up deciding on.
