Tahoe A-frame Renovation with Mid-Century Charm

This post contains affiliate links.

I’ve seen a lot of A-frames with a classic cabin feel or even a Nordic overhaul, but this gorgeous A-frame renovation is filled with mid-century modern charm and a totally unique loft set-up.

When you walk in you’ll find yourself in the large open living area, complete with a white fireplace and modern sectional sofa. It blends effortlessly into the kitchen, where you’ll find charcoal grey cabinets with a subway tile backsplash. There’s also a bedroom and full bathroom on the first floor.

The loft is something completely new, with a closed-off living space that doubles as a second bedroom, and a queen bedroom in the apex of the A-frame closed off with barn doors. There’s also another full bathroom. Love the decor? Jennifer, who renovated the a-frame with her partner, compiled a list with links here. Book your stay in this fantastic spot on Airbnb.

Cozy up and watch a great movie (or a bad one, for laughs).

Lots of pillows and throws to snuggle with.

Here’s your view from inside the kitchen.

How neat is that wood-burning stove.

Love the mid-century furniture here.

You get a full staircase to take you to the loft.

Floating open shelving to display lovely items.

The kitchen has a full oven and range and a large fridge.

And even a dishwasher! Woohoo!

Look at those amazing dining benches.

That couch becomes a queen-sized bed.

Ta-da! Great for kids.

Here’s the upstairs bathroom with an awesome glass shower.

Wow that copper sink is amazing.

And here is the Master Bedroom! So romantic.

What a perfect, cozy spot.

Downstairs there’s another bedroom (with llama art!).

And another full bathroom.

Finally, you can soak in this incredible hot tub.

Would you stay here?

This is the first A-frame I’ve ever found appealing. Really nice design & reno. (Would have enjoyed before & after pix on this one) Lots of metal stairs but as an Air B&B, that would be part of the adventure. Lovely, well thought-out interior.
Yep. I’d stay there! Thanks for posting. ✌

This is one of the best A-frames that I have seen. Missing is the elevator to the second floor. Makes me think of , “Want to make God laugh”. Accessibility is an issue in all our futures
