This is the Anchor Bay Tiny House by Michael Janzen.

It features a shed roof with a shape that makes it aerodynamic when you’re towing. This tiny house design even features an outdoor shower area which makes it perfect if you’re into the great outdoors.

At 16-feet, it’s really tiny! But you’ll still find a kitchen, bathroom, desk, and upstairs sleeping loft inside.

Plans to build your own version of it are also available. Please enjoy, learn more, and re-share below. Thank you!

This year a lot has happened in the world of tiny houses including quite a bit of new books.

In this post I wanted to share some of my new favorites with you along with some of the classics.

Some of these books will inspire you with photos and others will be filled with valuable how to information.

You might still be gathering ideas for your future home or you might be eager to build up your construction skills.

Either way some of these books, if you don’t already own them, should help inspire you towards your dream tiny house.

People ask us all the time how we can live together in 120 square feet. It is asked as though people are surprised that a couple would even have any interest in being that close to one another. We always smile and laugh politely and tell them that we have 15 acres so we always have an exit. In reality, we’ve never had any problems living in our tiny house. That isn’t to say we haven’t fought, but we also fought in a 2700 square foot house and the dynamics don’t really change.

So when I was talking with Alex here at Tiny House Talk about my next few topics and he suggested Tiny House Plans for Couples, I was intrigued. As far as I am concerned the best tiny house for a couple is whatever tiny house they want to live in. But, I accepted the challenge and here are three tiny house plans that I think can be great for couples.

The Tarleton by Tumbleweed Tiny House. Okay, I am a bit biased. Our tiny house is a Tarleton that we modified slightly as we built it. I think this 120 square foot home is perfect and has everything two people need: a reasonably sized kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, a nice sitting area, and a loft. Friends came to visit recently who hadn’t yet been to the tiny house and they commented on how much bigger it was than they thought. It is a pretty spacious little house that is designed well. Buy the plans here.

Wanted to show you guys a design that Michael Janzen from Tiny House Design is working on. It’s a 12 by 24 tiny house with an optional full loft.

This design is great to watch if you’re a beginner at building like me. You’ll get to see how everything is put together and cut.

When he’s finished with the tiny house plans he’ll offer them for $9.99 as an 80 page PDF so you can build it yourself.

Looks great, Michael!
