Its beautiful. But…That is twice as much as my 2 story 100 year old Victorian 1250 sq ft home with a private driveway and fenced in back yard. In Kansas City. Life is good!! 🙂

      Kim,

Well, who can put a price on stacked sardine-tight among 36,000,009 of your closest friends, no garden or private space, constant noise, constant traffic, centuries of entrenched corruption, and only a few derelicts.

For the extra several thousand a year, I know which I’ll choose. And if I want a parking space, I’m willing to pay thousands more. Because I’m worth it.

But… what if the elevator goes out! Gadzooks! They expect me to walk! Up stairs! In my newest pair of Tommy Choo strapless in fawn newbuck I picked-up (wholesale plus 30%) at Neumann or Bloomies, I can’t remember which! [staggers to the after-hours psychiatrist clinic in a ghastly fit of the vapors at the mere mention]

Kim although I’m not a USA dweller, I somehow guess that rents in Kansas City compare to rents in New York city!

That’s the hard thing about living in cities! I agree — I’d rather the country and some peace and quiet 🙂 — Tiny House Talk Team

Kim, what an excellent and entertaining writer you are! The abode is lovely and functional and, as you mentioned, right where you want to be. Thanks for sharing.

No lying there…! As a former NYC dweller I know the cost of living in the big apple… I was employed there by an international engineering firm for almost 23 very painful years as a well paid specialist engineer, and I can’t say I miss it in the slightest bit…! The facts are here as you can see, the cost of living in NYC is obscene at best… But non the less there are people who would not live anywhere else in the world for the money… Crazy isn’t it…! I guess you can take the boy out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the boy…! Just a shameful cheaply coined phrase to some I know, but it is the truth.. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else today then right here in Florida… Except maybe a tiny house in Fla. …!

I hope you get that tiny house in Florida 🙂 — Tiny House Talk Team
