The double french doors open right up to nature, specifically, a forest of redwoods and ferns.

Just look at all of those windows! Even with the doors shut, there is so much nature to experience from inside. Doesn’t this make you just want to move into the woods somewhere?

And look at that outdoor setup!

Inside it’s really simple and ultra-compact. Almost like a modern-day Thoreau cabin (with more amenities).

And yes, in this tiny little cabin, you do get a kitchenette.

Thug Kitchen… That sounds like a sort of interesting recipe book.

What an incredible little cabin… How would you use this space if you had one of these on your own property?

Wouldn’t it be cool to have two units like this combined by a deck? One unit can be your tiny house, and the other could be your office. Or whatever you might need.

One unit could also be a kitchen and living area, while the other one is the bedroom and bath.

Nothing like nature, sunlight, these ferns, and the ancient redwood trees to bring us back to our roots.

Great little space–amazing location. The fog! Would be so nice to wake up to that and have a cup of coffee then go for a walk. I’m confused about the couch, though? Is that in another building?

Nice place and a wonderful location, but where are the couch and coffee table located?
I looked over those pics several times and I see no room for it, not to mention any sign of them, except in that one picture.
Did we accidentally post a picture here, that maybe belongs in another article?

Hey Fred – I think these pictures are a combination of several of these little studio style rooms. One room has a couch and coffee table. Another room has a bed & small kitchenette type counter. I agree with you- absolutely no space in one of these for both a bed & couch so it must be pictures from several of these rooms.

…could be…too bad, though. I like the setting that couch is in. It would be perfect in that room…if it were a little larger. 😉

It’s lovely, but I don’t see any indoor plumbing. Is this, perhaps, part of a compound where there’s a separate building for showers and toilets?

Bathroom and “bonus room” (which would have the couch and coffee table) look to be in the main house, which is a 40 foot walk across the deck and accessed by a private entrance. They note the deck is slippery when wet.

Slipperiness could be minimised, but not entirely mitigated, by laying down chicken wire to the surface.

I went a little deeper and discovered this is an Airbnb, and the “facilities” are in the main house. It certainly would be a nice place to spend a few quiet days…

The small space reminds me of one particular dorm room I stayed in while in the military.

Any idea what was used to protect the wood plank deck? I’d be concerned about walking on the deck when it was wet because it appears it would be very slippery.

Hmmm I’m afraid I don’t know! But yes, it could be slippery for sure.
