Small Space Furniture #20 – Multipurpose Beds

Last weekend on small space furniture #19 we explored murphy beds.

If you’re in a tiny or small house it’s important to choose the right furniture.

So I stumbled onto something called Mobile Wallbeds.

They’re…

  • Easy to use
  • Easy to move
  • Good looking

And they also look comfortable because you get a full-sized regular spring mattress.

In addition, they offer a few different kinds of multipurpose beds which we’ll explore right here.

Hidden Bed & Desk

The most interesting part about this one is that if you in the middle of a project and just want to set up the bed to sleep, it’s no problem.

You don’t have to clear up your desk or anything. Just fold the bed down and the desk will be waiting for you as it was in the morning.

The desk is able to safely hold up to 45 pounds of stuff.

The only limitation here might be the size of your computer screen. If it’s too tall there might be a problem but it seems like it will work well for most laptops and smaller monitors.

This piece of furniture starts at about $2499 with a twin size. You can also get it in full or queen.

Mobile Wallbed

This is a neat alternative to the Murphy beds you have already probably seen because it’s mobile.

So that means you can fit it just about anywhere in your home and roll it to the right place for sleeping.

It’s a great option for guests but in a small space it could be the bed that you regularly use.

It opens up from both sides and has a comfortable full sized spring mattress inside that’s made specifically for it to fit correctly.

It comes in a total of three different styles all of which start at $1498 with a mattress.

My mom’s apartment is pretty small.
She saws dresses, she has books and a wifi laptop computer whose printer needs a desk too. Do you think that sometime soon, you can design a work desk, office supplies, with bookcase and also a good place for her printer and her sawing machine?
