Small Space Furniture #15

When you’re living in a small house, space can be an issue. Especially when it’s you and your family but even if you’re single and living in a studio or even a tiny house.

So as part of our small space furniture series I feature ideas every week that you might be able to use or get inspiration from.

Sometimes it’s easy enough where you can just place the order.

So today you’re looking at a bed that offers a lot. It’s a multifunctional piece of furniture that’s perfect for a small space. And it serves you with a bed loft, desk, plenty of storage, and lots of shelving.

Some other cool features you’ll enjoy with it are the way the desk pulls out and hides away when you’re not using it. There are also a bunch of drawers for completely hidden storage along with shelves in every other spot. It also comes with a small ladder so you can easily climb up to bed.

In the picture below, all storage is closed and the desk is hidden/put away.

In the next picture the desk is pulled out and the side shelves are open, have a look…

It’s definitely a useful design for a bed because it frees up so much room. It’s a place to store clothes, stuff, and it works as your desk too.

This small space furniture was found at Wal-Mart. Click here to learn more or if you want to order it.

Nice to see the furniture series coming back. This being from Wally World one would wish to do a bit of strategic reinforcement during assembly but a great idea.
I once got hold of the cabinets that had come out of several kitchen remodels, took the cabinets that normally reside over the fridge and vent a hood, made some minor alterations, and made a full size bed frame with drawer storage. Looked great and the people who bought it from me still love it. Not much cash outlay as I scavenged all I could off the other cabinets, a little hardware and some paint were my total purchases.

Cleaned up, refurbed, and painted the survivors and they made a nice ‘new’ kitchen for someone else. With a little imagination, recycling is fun and can go toward making a living for you, just need to be able to get around to pick up sometimes bulky items and to talk to people in various businesses.
Sorry, didn’t intend to turn a comment into an article.

Thank you for sharing your experiences David!

I had some fun turning that unused door I had into a built in style book shelf. Getting recycled stuff is time consuming but the end result is great.

Good stuff. A local furniture chain in New England sells the “Bobanizer”/”Bobinizer”- right up this/your alley- check it out. The chain is “Bob’s Discount Furniture”. Hope you’re well!
