This is real nice. I take it the bathtub is in the living area? Can soak and watch TV or crank some Neil Diamond up…. I like that idea. This is beautiful. Love the walls. Eye catching. Bedroom and bathroom too. To bad it is in Australia. I checked out about moving there when I was in the music biz. You had to have money in your bank account. Which I did. Than my friend talked me out of it. No regrets.

I love Australia. I’ve visited three times (Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth), and found the people welcoming, the big cities vibrant, and small towns lovely and livable. Incredible Greek, Lebanese, and Italian food. Some interesting architecture down there, and it seems that every snake, spider, and many marsupials are poisonous and eager to kill you. I love my home country USA and especially the South, but my next time round I hope to be born in Australia or New Zealand. These comments respectfully submitted.

Not really, just something more common in luxury or off-grid homes…

Mind, bathtubs aren’t only used for bathing but also relaxing and when used for long periods it can help to have a view, watch a movie, etc.

Mind the proximity to the fireplace as well… Makes for a good combination…

I think the corrugated zincalume is used to shield the house in case of bush fires. They are fairly common in Australia.

It’s a prefab shelter kit that’s easy to assemble, originally intended for disaster relief housing, but they’re also developing it to be used for prefab housing, modular classrooms, flex office space or even military applications.

Designs are scalable/modular, consisting of aluminum pieces that can just snap together and SIP panels, all of which can also be taken apart easy as well to re-assemble it somewhere else… It has been in development since about 2011…

Like Ten Fold Engineering, which is another one to keep an eye on, they have a promising concept that has taken time to develop funding, business partners, etc. to make it a viable business and be at the point they’re finally selling units… Full production won’t start until 2020, assuming everything goes well with their early and limited production for 2019…

It’s very much still in the early adopter stage. So it may be a few years before we know how good the product is and whether the company will have a long term future…

I like the use of metal for some of the walls. I expect it is cost effective and a bit better for the environment. Nice house

Going off-grid and having a self-sustaining alternatives are a trend. Not relying much on commercial but going solo does have its benefits and advantages.

Strange, humourish even, juxtaposition of words…

a Rota-Loo composting toilet system, and eleven cows on the property.

One way of getting rid of the cows business… lol
