Skoolie Bus Life with Teens (& A Huge Bathroom!)

This post contains affiliate links.

Meet Tawny and Mike and their skoolie bus life with teens! Amazingly, they bought and renovated this bus for just about $20,000 and it’s absolutely gorgeous.

The build includes one of the most amazing “tiny” bathrooms I’ve ever seen, with a wet-bath style and feathered concrete walls/tub. The parents have a bedroom in the back of the bus and the teens (who live there part-time as they also spend time with their dad) have beds that fold out Murphy-style in the front. I also love their L-shaped kitchen, which features concrete counter tops!

Tiny House Giant Journey did a great video tour with the family, so be sure to check that out at the end of the post.

Bus Life with Teens? Yes, It’s Possible!

Tawny, practicing yoga in the living room.

What a cute and cozy space! It was decorated for Christmas here.

The kitchen and those great concrete counter tops I was talking about.

And my oh my look at this bathroom!!!

Yikes, if “I” tried getting in a bath like that I’d never be able to get out. That is sooooo tiny.

This is one of the best bus designs ever. I love it! Very clever how everything works so perfectly and for $20k? OMG thats insane. Great job!!!

I really, REALLY like this design. The only thing I noticed that was worrisome to me is the space heater right next to the curtains. I wasn’t there in every picture, so maybe it’s been moved for the final design.

Or they just use it for ambiance… Those electric types that are made to look like wood stoves have a just visual mode that gives off no heat… They don’t really need it with an actual wood stove in a different location but that one has a metal door. So you can’t sit and watch the fire with that one…

This is one of the very best designed buses I’ve seen yet. I’d love to see it in person just to get an idea of how well my overweight body would fit. Overall Oliver is homey and gives off a comfortable feeling of “warmth” just by watch it on video, I can only imagine when seen in person. Great job Mike and Tawny!
