Making this off-grid also would be a huge plus.

Does this have any sleeping area/bedroom?

I was wondering the same thing. So I clicked the link to see if there were more photos of the opposite end of the place and there were none, so I assume a hidabed, murphy bed would be needed.

The article stated there was room for a queen size futon in the living area. This would make a perfect starter home for that price( I have the land) and eventually get a smaller unit alongside, connected by a closed in porch for a separate bedroom.

I gotta wonder how cramped it would be inside.
Those shipping containers are all 8.5′ tall, ‘ wide and either 20′ or 40′ long.
Once you add wiring, plumbing and insulation you’ve taken a pretty good bite out of the width of the place.
I once heard most architects assume 1 foot of depth for each wall (measured from outside to inside).
This would leave you with a structure that’s only 6′ wide on the inside.
Now add some furniture, and it seems to be it would become an obstacle course pretty easily.
Furnishing this place might be a bit tricky.
Mind you, I’m not against using one of these as a living structure, or even tiny homes in general, but just a cautionary tale to make sure you’re going to be happy with what you end up with.
Personally, I might take two of these, line them up side-by-side and weld them together (after cutting out the walls that meet).
This would give you a structure that’s 16′ wide and either 40′ or 20’ long. Bare internal space would then be either 640 or 320 sq. ft. , and it might not feel nearly as cramped.
    JMHO, YMMV.

Apologies, the dimensions I listed should say that the structure is EIGHT (8) feet wide.

You don’t have to lose that much space… Typically, with closed cell spray foam insulation you can keep the wall thickness below 6″ and if you get High Cube container then you have an additional foot of headroom to work with… While, if you don’t need to ship them around, you can build out the walls on the outside instead to maintain the full interior width…

Length options also include 10′, 45′, 48′, and 53’… Some will just be much easier to find and their size will effect their costs as well.

Otherwise agree, containers can be very design limiting and the costs can ramp up quickly if you’re not careful. They can be an excellent choice for small projects but larger and PreFab starts to make more practical sense…

        …but its still 8′ wide.

Not arguing that they aren’t design limiting, as that’s a given, but most everything that is moveable and constrained by road legal size limits is only going to be around 8′ wide… So that isn’t that much of a big deal as far as tiny homes are concerned.

Rather it’s the height that is the greater limitation factor in most cases, especially as the ceiling and floor will be thicker than the walls. So no options for lofts and other vertical space use that’s common for tiny homes, which forces everything to be one level and that makes it much harder to fit everything.

Containers can also have other issues but that’s a much longer conversation…

Looking into all attachment and linked website are all 5stars and well designed. How I wish to have this project be available in third world countries?

They’re shipping containers… So anywhere there’s a port that can unload it and put it on the back of a truck to be delivered…

Wilson: I have personally seen lots of them in 3rd. world countries.
