This couple and their dog have been living in this amazing vintage 1964 Avion Trailer. It was a DIY conversion, and Keaton (a woodworker) stripped the RV down to the shell and framing, and completely overhauled the interior.
After spending a few years enjoying this tiny space, the couple is ready to purchase a home and hopes to pass this awesome trailer on to new owners. It’s located in Seattle and they are asking $87,500. Read their conversion story below!

This vintage 1964, 24′ Avion Trailer has had a special place in our hearts for many years is finally for sale. I met my boyfriend, Keaton a talented woodworker just as he finished this beautiful trailer.
I moved in where my love for him and tiny house living grew. We are selling this trailer in the hopes someone else will love it and cherish the craftsmanship as much as we do. The sale of this trailer will give us the opportunity to buy our first house and continue our future together with our dog Kota.
5 years ago, he stripped the trailer down to nothing but the frame and aluminum shell. All new utilities run through the frame including PEX plumbing, gas, electrical and ABS drain systems.
It has been insulated with environmentally safe two-part spray-in insulation that is flame resistant as well as anti-molding.
There was a lot of focus on the kitchen and bathroom as it is important to us to have a space to cook and share meals with friends and family. The kitchen has a large modern style stainless-steel sink, 5.6 cubic ft GE stainless undercounter fridge/freezer, and stainless three burner LP gas stove oven.
The on-demand LP water heater has digital temperature control and supplies both the kitchen and bathroom. The countertop is also handmade with locally salvaged solid walnut and there is a considerable amount of storage space for pots, pans, glassware, and pantry items. Keaton extended the bathroom by 10 inches making it more spacious and allowing for a residential sized toilet.
The shower is cedar lined, tiled, and has a modern rain shower head with sprayer. The wall adjacent is lined with locally salvaged maple that has been bleached and whitewashed. The vanity is also whitewashed maple with a solid walnut countertop.
The bed is currently a full, but a queen-sized mattress can fit, and the custom solid walnut slab Bluetooth stereo system also acts as a bedside table. You will have to see the stereo in person, it is a real head turner. Underneath the bed are 42-inch-deep drawers that allow for more storage than your standard dresser.
The heating system is an efficient 20,000 BTU LP gas furnace that can heat the trailer in 5-10 minutes in the dead of winter. One propane tank can last a month in the winter with two people living full time in the trailer and up to three months in the summer. The electrical system has been updated to 120v/12v.
Most of the lighting is dimmable recessed LEDS with a 40,000-hour life expectancy. Upper cabinets have gas struts that keep them closed during transport and stay open when needed for easy hands-free loading.
The walls are painted strips of birch plywood and floors are luxury vinyl. The windows were made using VG fir and tempered glass, which is very unusual, giving this trailer a unique and eye-catching appearance.
The exterior is anodized aluminum making it a harder material than your average aluminum trailer. The axles, leaf springs, brakes, rims, and tires are all new, with only 4 miles on them. The trailer can be converted into a true travel trailer with little work but currently it is set up more as a mother-in-law or ADU. Asking $87,500.
