Feeling patriotic today? You might want to plan a vacation in the American Dream Tiny THOW at Mt. Hood Tiny House Village in Portland.

Jenna from Tiny House Giant Journey took a video tour of this home that’s built over the wheel wells to allow some extra square footage in the rental. You can sleep on the futon sofa or in the loft, and there’s plenty of counter space for cooking inside.

Enjoy her tour below and head over here to book your stay.

You said the pitch of the roof was not a standard 12/12, but you didn’t tell us what the pitch of this roof is? I like the TV in the small loft. It gets it up and out of the way, leaves wall space free for a computer monitor, and can be seen by all. Not much else to not like about this build. The extra width is really nice as long as it doesn’t exceed the limit for road travel. I think I would probably put solar panels on it and gutter the roof to collect rain run-off with French gutters (they are sunk into the edges of the roof so you wouldn’t necessarily see them from the ground) that would pipe rain water into a collection tank for non-potable water. I’d like it better if the skylight was also an alternate exit in case of fire or something else. I like the futon couch; (1) a downstairs bed, (2) a large lounging or work surface to spread papers and books out on, (3) you can have it or remove it from your THOW altogether if you want the floor space for something else. Nice build. How much to put all this together?
